@PlaySetsUsFree Nope, you're not alone - many of us in this community are very excited about Stadia, both as it currently exists as well as for what the future holds. Even much of the criticisms and complaints come from people who are also excited and eager to see the platform succeed while still recognizing that it does have some issues.
Either way, you're in good company here - welcome!
I am excited about two things
the streaming features I wonder if they are going to do something fantastic for founders that want to content create, right now it's been kind of rough on youtube with all the new rules so i hope gamers get some love creating content with STADIA.
and I hope they work out some sort of deal with OBS so streaming/recording is easier
2. First party games I'm dying to know what their studios are doing - I want a RPG on the level of witcher 3/cyberpunk/mass effect/kotor
I want a game like GOD of war and death stranding, hell Kojima is a free agent right? throw him a wad of cash to create a game for Stadia.
lol
One of the features that I'm excited about it is the ability to play wireless with Stadia controller on every platform, then switch flawlessly from one platform to others without having to re-pair the controllers. I remember this was showcased during the GDC this year, but I guess we'll have to wait a bit before it's actually possible to do it.
@Ivan I'm just itching to get my teeth into watchdogs and cyberpunk plus seeing what new announcements we have in January
really all we need is some teaser trailer of up coming projects even if it's something coming late 2020/21 give people a few things to look forward to would be great
If Stadia were a console I wouldn't have been interested in it at all, as a long time PC guy. The fact that it is something new is what drew me to it. The promise that it could potentially play games in higher levels of quality than my not upgraded in years PC is yet unrealized though.
I have better internet service to my home than what seems like just about 100% of everyone given what I've seen people posting so there are really no downsides to the streaming nature for me, my only wish is that they had an ultra bitrate option that quadrupled or more the highest bitrate it supports right now though. Maybe they'll open up higher bitrate options in the future, but I understand a lot of people are still struggling with usage caps and such so it's probably not a priority.
As I've got older my ability to enjoy gaming has been reduced - I've lost my man-cave to children so many times *sigh
Now they're older and I can clear away the consoles and the my little pony's to make some space for my toys...I demand something new and shiny to recapture my lost youth and fill my empty soul ![]()
I have my high speed line just aching to burn a hole in that Chromecast
