I already have ESO and all the extensions packs. I just want to use Stadia to have better graphics.
I subscribes to the Stadia Pro. Now, do I have to buy ESO again to play? I liked my ESO account but none of the ESO in the store allows me to play....
Yes you have to pay again.
But ...
I played ESO on Steam, laptop and external graphics card, saw the Stadia offer for ESO so I tested. Not only have I recovered my entire Steam account, but the graphics are also superb. It's really great for ESO. So I sold my graphics card and I really don't regret it. I can even play it on my Shield TV. Stadia do a good job witch ESO, this is not true with all games, Cyberpunk 2077 for example looks like beurkkkkkkkk...
A few months ago ESO was available for free for Stadia Pro, so I claimed it then, connected my ESO account with my Stadia account and I had access to all DLC and chapter content.
Therefore I guess it's only needed to have the ESO "base" game on Stadia and then you should have all content available. I can't guarantee though that this is still the case, but just in case it doesn't work... if you play less than 2 hours, you can still try a refund then for it.
So I would say it's worth a try in this case. You don't get the game automatically on Staida, just because the two accounts are linked, this is probably why you need at least the base game to have it on the platform.
If you didn't get a chance to claim it during the time it was available under pro, then yes, much like you would have to buy it for PS if you played it on Xbox or similar scenario.
I have it on PC, I was hoping I'd not have to pay for it again as Stadia is more a cloud computer than a console... It's a shame ![]()
If you bought a PS copy of ESO (or any game), would you expect an Xbox version for free?
Shame indeed...
When people complain about the price of a game, and it's $40 or less. All I think is. "Scrub." Haha.
NGL. At first I was slightly triggered about buying ESO again. But when I found out for certain, everything I did and paid for was still right there.. I was sooo happy. I was so into ESO and my ex stole my PC... I couldn't run it on the junk he left behind.
I'm so glad this exists.
Says the idiot who resurrected a dead thread?
You have zero credibility.
Unless Bethesda offers a universal license, so to speak, which allows you to redeem the game on any platform and you purchase said pass directly from them, yes, you are going to have to buy the game again. This is going to be the case on any platform until such a model exists.
Yes you have to pay again.

Not at all worth it to pay yet again to play it on a buggy Stadia server. My internet speed is hardwire at almost 200 mbps, yet there was STILL lag.
Unacceptable.
