I can't even describe my disappointment when thinking about how Stadia has said nothing about EA Games like Fifa
At this point I'm just waiting for the PS5 or Amazon Luna to come out and switch to that. I doubt my disappointment there will be as low as it is with this platform . It's an embarrassment having us think that 3 day event was meaningful. Utterly garbage.
sorry to hear about your bad expierence. It is still a publisher's choice if and when they want to bring their games to Stadia. EA still says it will provide more information later this year on its website (https://www.ea.com/de-de/games/fifa/fifa-21/news/fifa-21-faq-release-date#stadia)
P.S.: Jedi Fallen Order by EA will arrive on Stadia on 24 November 2020, so I guess they might bring more and more games now to the platform, but it might take time.
EA the one who decides when their games can be announced or if then games are going to launch on Stadia not Google. they can't just walk up to a developer and tell him you're going to launch your game on our platform on The second Thursday next month at 3:00 a.m. as frustrating as it is we just have to have patience and help EA will get it s*** together
We should “bombing” stadia Twitter account asking about fifa... maybe, and I want to say it again, Maybe they will answer...
I think it would be more useful if you "bomb" the EA Twitter account instead ![]()
I'm pretty sure that Stadia has signed an NDA with developers concerning the release announcement of games. They can't say a word without devs' prior consent.
Ye well, just say “we can’t talk about it” not so difficult xD
Agree, when you want to "bomb" someone, then bomb EA, the developer basically. If Stadia could, they would give us all the games instantly, I have no doubt, but the devs of the game are responsible when it comes to prepare a game for a platform or bring it on a platform. So I see the responsibility here definetely on EAs side.
Rest assured, Luna is just copy and paste at this time. If you look at the amount of science and research that goes into Stadia, its mind blowing and makes sense. This is the kind of science Stadia has. https://youtu.be/9Htdhz6Op1I
Luna is boasting windows as developers can copy and paste their games which means a bigger library. At this point Lunas stream tech is like Remote Desktop. It drops the frame and moves on to the next one. Its jittery at best. Xcloud at least does something different to mitigate the latency but its very noticeable with that refresh line.
Bigger library but so so tech vs Small library for now but its like a console at home. Btw Playstation already tried streaming their games but you couldnt play it so it didnt take off.
Look at what happened to Nvidias Geforce Now. You could stream any game on that thing but publishers took them down. So, like other folks have said, "Its in the game"...... publishers. ∆_∆
Thanks for the explanation, I wasn't aware how Amazon was doing their game streaming. It's...disappointing, to say the least. Really much more of a Shadow-type experience but not a true cloud gaming platform where we will eventually get new unique experiences and games.
The statement that it is in the hands of the publisher is so retarded :(. It's still a cooperation and Stadia knows the rough processes. The marketing is just crap. It's in the hands of Stadia to simply say: Hey, we know you are waiting for Fifa and co, EA is still trying to make it available for you this year. Stay Tuned - That would be 1000 times better and also more understandable for the community than this good stuff nonsense.
I suppose I must be retarded, then.
Porting a game requires time and money. Stadia can only go that far in providing incentives to port a game on their platform. In the end, though, if the publisher doesn't see a concrete return on their investment, they just wait for better times (as in: a wider user base).
So, in the end, yes: if you want a game to be ported on Stadia, the best thing you can do is address directly the publisher and show him all the interest there is for their game.
/r
Seems so, because that is Not the point 🤷
.
It must be a wonder how it work on steam or xbox game pass or ps5 or epic, that they can speak with the publisher and present together or say: sorry but Things need more time.
Its not bad, that thinks need time. It is still the comunication about that. It dont exist on stadia.
Best example is dbd. Comming Septembre... No one knows anything till 31. Sept. - And it comes on october.
That's exactly what happens with software houses on Stadia. They present together (see the announcement of Sekiro and Watchdogs Legion) or say "sorry but we need more time" (see the delay of Cyberpunk).
That's exactly the same: software houses utlimately decide when and IF a game is coming to a platform.
That's what Youtubers are for :
I sincerely believe that support has to be a two-way street.
So ask or pay your youtuber / streamer / idol / hero to ask the developer to bring games to their favorite platform.
The reality is virtual.
