Im getting real tired of how unbalanced this game is due to the simple fact that Mouse and Keyboard players are allowed to play with Controller players. I don't care what you say about Aim Assist, it doesn't balance anything out. The aim assist in destiny 2 is trash and 90% of the time only slows your aim down when you're not actually aiming but just moving the camera. There is no actual aim assist like in other games where your aim locks onto the nearest target. It just slows down your aim speed while not scoped in. 99.99% of the time an experienced M+K/B player will dominate an entire server full of controller players. They have more customizable settings for aiming, we have one, aim speed. That's it. I really feel like lobbies need to be controller or M+K/B only. Oh, and if you're one of those people who just slide and spam shotguns, stop taunting after kills, you're not good.
Hi @CaptGiggles
This is a good feedback that you can send to Bungie, Stadia doesn't have control on how works the lobby for PvP in Destiny 2.
Also, you'll see players using the same weapons due to the fact that Bungie removed the sunsetting for weapons.
@CaptGiggles just want to add what @AndroiFy has mentioned above, this is actually the same case on PC, where m/kb players and controller players play in the same sandbox.
In fact, a lot of Destiny veteran players prefer playing on controllers since they started with Halo, and then Destiny 1, which were only available on consoles. The game is designed to not give either input too much advantage. A lot of m/kb players actually feel controllers have more advantage.
Look up Gernader Jake on Twitch. He's a controller player playing on PC, and every weekend he does multiple free flawless carries in Trials of Osiris, where he plays mostly against m/kb players.
I honestly doubt Bungie would even look at anything I send them. Bug companies don't care about individuals. They would only take something into consideration if a group spoke up on the same subject.
Let's put it this way, the best controller player in the world vs the best mouse and keyboard player isn't even a fair comparison. Someone like Shroud illustrates this point very well. When he was at his best he would take out entire servers of people by himself in just about any fps game. Saying controller players are equal is like comparing the tech in a ps5 vs what a top end pc is capable of.
In reality, they take care to balance the game really often (see nerf for the class / weapon / abilities / mod). As player on MK, I'll say the balance between the two type of the control won't affect the experience.
I completely disagree. I play a lot of destiny on PC and m&k is the way, but on stadia I have really only found the pvp experience good enough while using the stadia controller. I don't know if it is because it connects through WIFI, but when I tried my Xbox elite controller it had noticeable input delay, and m&k was even worse. M&k feels floaty and not precise, combine that with 60 fps, and the smaller fov....It is not a great experience (for me). In pve it is fine but pvp it was way to noticeable. I prefer m&k for almost any game but for stadia pvp I got to use the controller. I streamed to YouTube some trials on stadia and talked about it and it was...rough. Even though I am not a controller main I did much better on controller and we ended up going to the lighthouse(in pc lobbies no less).
I managed to reach the lighthouse using m&k without problem. There are several YouTubers that are playing on mouse and keyboards, and they are winning against controller players.
I strongly recommend to check some third parties websites to check the best weapons for m&k and which one are good for controller: little light, DIM.
Love DIM.
I am sure people rock out on m&k but I still do not think it is a great experience in pvp. The only stadia pvp player I know who streams is Time and he uses the controller, same with fallout plays. I think Cammy used m&k before crossplay.
Not arguing just my experience, whoa re you watching who plays on stadia? I like to support stadia players when I can. ![]()
I believe you and I are friends on Stadia my man, we should play sometime, I haven't touched the game seriously in a while because life has gotten wild but I would love to play some pvp with you sir.
Either way I do not think Stadia's access to m&k is unfair, as the original post was saying.
