So if i cancel my Stadia pro subscription does that mean i don't have dlc's on steam or xbox. This is for destiny 2 btw.
Hi @Lilmeng09
I'm curious, you are able to play the DLCs of Destiny 2 that you are bought on Stadia on other platforms? That sounds great and I did not know the fact. ^^
@Lilmeng09 That is correct. You need to purchase DLC respective to the platform you're playing on for Destiny 2.
Here's more explanation from Bungie's FAQ:
Do my previous game purchases transfer across platforms?
Destiny 2 expansions (ex: Forsaken, Shadowkeep) do not transfer between platforms with Cross Save. Destiny 2 Season Passes (ex: Season of the Undying) do move between platforms on the characters they were redeemed on.*
*Exception: Destiny 2: The Collection on Stadia includes Season Pass access at no additional charge. Players who have Cross Save enabled with their Stadia account who would like to access Seasonal content on other platforms (PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam) will need to purchase those Season Passes directly on one of those platforms.
@Ivan so What if I buy ornaments with silver from the eververse shop, it’s the dawning event so I wanted to know if I bought the armor ornaments on stadia, would the ornaments be on my other platforms???
@DIAMONDMARBLE It will. Rule of thumb is, if it's purchasable by Silver, then it will show up in all platforms that you have cross save enabled.
I just paid for the new "Beyond Light" DLC on Stadia. To play the DLC do I still need to be subscribed to Stadia Pro? I know that for games I purchase on Stadia. I still have access to the game even if I don't pay for Stadia Pro. I'm wondering if this is different for Destiny 2 since the core game is free to play.
@Gonzo77j If you've purchased the beyond light dlc, you'll have access to Destiny forever as it includes the base game and you retain access to all your purchased games whether or not you have pro
According with Stadia policies, actually you have all the DLC during the time you pay Stadia (I don’t know what will happen in November with the new DLC, if you have to pay extra or if it is included).
if you decide to stop playing on Stadia, you can activate the CROSS SAVING on Bungie.net (you need to be registered on Bungie.net, and then link all the platforms where you have an account) this means that you can have everywhere it is linked the stuff of the COMMON ACCOUNT: that means if you play on STEAM and STADIA, if you have the Start Edition on Steam, you will find the standard stuff on Steam (the DLC stuff will be freezed until you will update the edition in the other platform so you can continue what you started).
if you have any doubts, please ask! ![]()
Ok so then I have a question as to weather or not I can play on stadia if I don't have stadia pro but I have destiny 2 on steam. In other words do I have to purchase the game or whatever for stadia to be able to play destiny 2 there ? I have steam and have linked my steam cross save to my stadia account. But unsure if destiny 2 is even a free to play game on stadia without paying for the pro exition.
Hello!
yes, to play Destiny 2 on stadia you have to buy or redeem it (unfortunately I don’t know if you can play it without pro).
it is like if you want to play Destiny on Play Station or XBox, you need the copy for that condole: Stadia is like a web console. ![]()
After that, you can link the two accounts and play with the same character every where.
