Destiny 2 bogged down

Last night I was playing D2 and during a Vex override, mid-battle, my stream bogged down. Like, way down. Frame drops & input lag. Once I progressed past the congested fight it was fine.

I got a direct fiber connection to my CCU running 1000 mbps up & down. I understand that fluctuations occur but I don't believe it's on my end.

To be fair, I haven't come across this before but is it still possible to get bogged down on Stadia with high action scenes?

Hi @Rodzilla8735

Did you check if your time session matched the maintenance announced yesterday?

Ongoing Destiny 2 maintenance is expected to conclude at 11 AM PDT (1800 UTC): https://twitter.com/BungieHelp/status/1397244127897653252?s=20

The maintenance occurred early afternoon for me and I experienced the problem about 6 hours after the maintenance window closed. Unless, it quietly continued??

I'm not really sure, it's not a big deal as it only occurred the one time. However it did frame drop REALLY bad. I was just fishing to see if it's a "one off" issue or something else.

Stadia is fantastic and Destiny looks great on it. This just caught me off guard.

I was on from 10-11 PM MDT and didn't have any issues. I was mostly doing Vanguard crossplay to help out with the beta testing.

@Rodzilla8735 did you feel like the frame drops were due to internet stability, or did you feel it was due to the game itself. Did you experience the same thing while playing other than the override?

This week's vex override is located in the tangled shore, and this area has always been problematic with players experiencing frame drops often whenever they're in the area (on all platforms, not just Stadia). Might be something worth paying attention to next time it happens again.

My internet is rock solid. I got ethernet directly connected to my CCU and ping test shows a concrete 986 mbps down / 939 mbps up w/ 22ms latency. Again, I don't believe it's my internet but I understand fluctuations do happen.

That said, I experienced my issue while on the tangled shore for about 45 seconds to almost a minute but its was pretty awful. Once I got to the next section (vex simulation) it went away & I didn't experience that again. To be honest, I also didn't run another one.

It worried me because I hadn't seen that before. But you're probably right in that it might be the game itself.

I had something similar happen once while playing destiny. I had ti completely restart stadia to fox it and everything was totally fine after that. It was as if the instance of stadia I was on totally crashed. Only happened the one time, despite hours of gametime.
