@Streamer I would have to stand by the current penalty for now because if they aloud penalty free leaves from connection issues then people would just turn off their WiFi if they were losing.
Now if they could some how differentiate between a disconnect on the users end or on stadias end then of course I would support that 100%.
I believe my question was misunderstood. I was not asking to remove the Gambit penalty altogether. I was merely wondering if the limit should be raised for Stadia. For example, I was temporarily banned from Gambit after getting disconnected 3 times, so my question was, should that limit be raised for Stadia (maybe 5?) as connection issues are more than likely to occur on our platform than others?
Destiny 2 is online on other formats too, if internet goes you get disconnected same as stadia.
Yes but I've disconnected once in a lot of hours playtime from destiny servers on stadia and it was for like a second and put me straight back in, I've not once disconnected from stadia if did would have also disconnected from psn or Xbox live because internet went if you feel like your having bad connectivity due to traveling or whatever don't launch Gambit and you won't risk letting your teammates down by being kicked or getting punished.
Everything you play online requires internet is what I'm saying, stadia is no different from connecting to Xbox live why do you think there's a bigger chance your internet wont work using this more than there?
@ARGAH Your analogy, I believe, is a bit misplaced. It's true that everything requires internet, but they may not all require the same amount of resources. Let me give you a small example. You can play Destiny 2 on Xbox with 10 MBPS of data ( or even less), but while Stadia does list a bare minimum requirement of 10 MBPS, look forward to constant disconnections.
... Or let me use an even simpler analogy. Think of a single lane traffic on a road: 5 cars in a block every 5 seconds, versus a 100 cars within the same span. Congestion, and then failure of operation is likelier in the latter scenario.
And no, I do not play on 10 MBPS, but 200. And yes, I have tested Destiny 2 on both Stadia and Steam.
I believe we are just stuck in this loop at this point with my peers either believing I am asking for the entire removal of the Gambit penalty, or failing to understand that Destiny 2 on Steam requires significantly less data to work, than Destiny 2 on Stadia.
Therefore, I am just going to concede, and conclude that the majority has spoken and wants the current limit before a ban to remain the same on all platforms. Thanks for reading.
