Hi,
I bought "Cyberpunk 2077" today and played it for several hours. The whole time I was saving the game regularly. At some point I decided I wanted to start a "New Game" so that my wife could play with her own character/ storyline.
After starting the game over Cyberpunk/Stadia gave no indication of where the "New Game" files would be saved (I assumed at some point during the process a menu would pop up and ask: 'Where would you like to save this new game?'
But this never happened. When I went back to play my original storyline, the saves had all been replaced by the "New Game" - apparently erasing hours of gameplay without ever asking, or notifying that the game would be overwritten.
Are my files still accessible somewhere thru Stadia? Is it possible to save multiple "New Games" within Cyberpunk? Please help me get my game back.
Thank you -
I am having the same issue, I would love an explanation or a workaround.
Unfortunately your saves are lost and there isn't any way to recover them. It's also unfortunate if Cyberpunk doesn't warn you that starting a new game will reset your progress, most games will prompt you to confirm you want to do this.
The way you're supposed to accomplish this is by giving each user in your household their own Stadia account, add them to your family group, and utilize family sharing. That way each of you will have access to all of the games on each of the family members accounts but you'll switch between the accounts (on startup using Chromecast, or via the Web UI in Chrome) prior to launching the games. This gives each of you your own "space" to separate progress, achievements, etc.
You can read more about family sharing here.
