I just started playing CP2077 and noticed the FOV slider is missing. The default FOV is too low. I’m getting nauseous when playing. Wasn’t this supposed to be included in the settings, according to this page:
https://support.cdprojektred.com/en/cyberpunk/stadia/gameplay/issue/1655/accessibility-features
Can someone please clarify if this will be added soon? If not, I’ll have to refund the game.
Thanks
In the same boat; launched it up all excited, get in game, and bleurgh, what feels like ~70°.
Destiny 2 was the same; completely unplayable console FoV.
70° FoV is simply not acceptable for PC gaming; last gen, this gen, next gen, doesn't matter.
When you're sat less than a metre from the screen you NEED a wider FoV because the image is occupying a larger proportion of your retina.
I can handle the horrible (and widespread) compression artefacts, and the washed out colours.
I can tolerate the occasional picture drop-out due to lost packets.
But please Google, don't ruin such an anticipated title for want of a frackin' FoV slider.
I experience nausea as well --- which is usually solved if I can see character in third person. Is that possible?
There’s no option to play the game in third person.
Same here, hope they had it fast enough to enjoy the game
I'm disheartened that CDPR's 'fix' for this major problem, is to correct their erroneous claim of there being an FoV slider in the Stadia version.
W.....T.....F!?
The age of lazy console ports suffering from consolitis was over a decade ago.
Is Google completely oblivious to PC gaming history?!? Are they aware of how damaging it'll be to their brand if Stadia comes across as hosting nothing but lazy console ports?
Google have already got an uphill struggle trying to convince customers that;
On top of all that Stadia really doesn't need their games to be objectively inferior versions.
Rats. Sinking Ship. Billions of $$$ down the drain.
I get motion sickness as well as I would really really like this feature
For those of you who are getting nauseous while playing, have you tried the following:
1) In the gameplay menu turning "Additive Camera Motions" to off. The camera bob/shake while walking and running really seems to be the primary cause of nausea in this game.
2) Prioritizing framerate. Higher framerates seems to reduce nausea
@TJJ "But please Google, don't ruin such an anticipated title for want of a frackin' FoV slider."
This is going to be up to CDPR and not Google, so if anything you might want to try to contact CDPR with this request and not the Stadia General forum.
For me it isn't nausea, it's that I hate having no peripheral vision.
I find a narrow FoV massively hinders situational awareness & reduces immersion; it becomes a chore to play, rather than being immersive fun.
I have already raised the issue on the CDPR forums (or rather added my voice to similar calls from other players), however it is Google who've sold me the game [license]. As the retailer it is they who're my first port of call for resolving any issues I'm having with the product/service.
Unfortunately Stadia's customer support is non-existent at the moment; 4+ hour waits for live chat is quite frankly ridiculous.
Yes. Waiting for this FOV.
Also, why are we getting the bad version of the game. PC looks so much better, and all the game assets pop in within sight, and within 100 ft. It's unplayable.
No NPCs or traffic. This looks just like the bad console versions of the game, or Stadia has turned down all the graphics, leaving us with a full price game, but not actually getting the full game.
I want a refund if it's going to look like this, with no options.
Please don't be silent Stadia. Not going to gain players like this. This isn't fair.
I also suffer from motion sickness in this game, usually turning up the FOV solves this for me in other games.
Turning off "Additive Camera Motions", motion blur and running the game in performance mode makes it better, but doesn't completely stop my motion sickness.
If FOV features will be excluded from stadia, then other games will also likely be unpleasant to play for us who get motion sickness.
FOV sliders are essential for PC gamers. If Stadia doesn't see it that way, I definitely won't be buying any more games on their platform.
@Florentin In this case it is CD Project Red that didn't include that option in this port.
It is not a Stadia issue, the game needs to support it.
@Dio333 CD Project Red has to add the slider I am afraid.
I can understand where you comming from because I suffer some motion sickness myself.
Nothing Stadia can do in this case. ![]()
Try contacting CDPR if they can add this ability.
