Crashing when in a party

If i join a party its like a 50/50 chance that within the next 30 seconds the controller crashes, the volume mutes, and i have to reset my controller just for a chance for it to work better without crashing again.

Just wanted to hop in here and let everyone know how sorry we are about this issue. We are currently investigating and will update everyone as soon as we can.

EDIT: We are very grateful for your patience as we've been investigating this issue. It looks like as of 11/2 our engineering team has been able to push out a fix that should be live for all users. Please let us know if you notice any other issues.

Try to change your headset. My friend had the same problem in the past. His headset was the problem.

The controller still crashed in the party and the sound is gone after it.

Is the fixed not finished?

The fix should have been live for everyone last week. Just checking in here with a couple of questions.

  • When was the last time you experienced this issue?
  • Does this issue happen in every game you play?

Last Thursday (4th November) the party crashed in fifa 22 several times

@Julien,

Do you know if it happens in any other game other than Fifa 22? Could you also give me some more details about what specifically happens? Like a step by step? This will help us know if we need to investigate further.

Yes, you definitely have to investigate further.  It just happened to me as well (1 hour ago). I was playing a Co-op match in Fifa 22 and after some seconds in the match together with my co-partner (who was in the same stadia party as well), the party and the Controller crashed.  After a while the Controller rebooted and I was able to continue the game, but I was not able to re-join the party.

I have not played any other game than Fifa 22 in the last few weeks.

I have the same issue while playing far cry 6 while in party chat. It happens only on ccu and at random intervals.
