Controller lag on certain games

Hey All,

I really want to be a stadia cheerleader but I'm having an issue with certain games and I don't understand why...help appreciated.

I get bad input lag (.5 seconds) on some games ; orcs must die, grid, strange bridge and borderlands 3.

But absolutely no lag in Destiny 2.

What's the difference?  Is it server side, with companies purchasing different hardware levels or location of servers (I'm UK based)?

Playing on chrome (wired) with Stadia controller wireless.  Nothing changes between swapping games except the lag.

What about other games besides what you've listed? Is it a persistent issue the entire time or do you see improvement while in a session?

Hey,

It's variable, it can improve but quickly goes back to lag.... Sometimes I get weird 'catchup' where it will all go quick for a second or two.  Ordinarily I'd blame my isp, but because it's fine in destiny then hop to another game and bad it can't be.  That's why wondering if server side.

Not played other games so unknown, but do spend significant time in destiny to know it's not a problem in there and I don't get 'catchup' either.

Regards

Have you tried connecting your controller with a cable?

hey,

Yep tried.and thanks for the comebacks!..that's why I keep asking about server location/resource allocation per game because I'm sure it's nothing local.  Switched between vp9 and not as well.

@aGoogleRep....can you comment please and let me know where we can see this information.  I'm never going to buy a game other than the plus free until I'm confident they are actually playable!
