Considering coming back to Stadia for destiny 2

Jump to Best Response

Been playing on console and it's in a really good place but performance wise it's really bad in comparison to what stadia version offers.

Was wondering though, I had the game on pro which included all DLC and see that Destiny is now free to play so wonder if come back will I still have access to my weapons that were from said DLC's or would they be locked because playing the free version?

And FYI have zero intention of ever getting pro again so subbing to regain access is not an option.

Incase anyone was wondering we do keep everything from pro subscription on the free to play version even if pro has lapsed.

I don't think you will lose or lost any progress.

Don't know if all things of the DLC are there?
But as it is free you could just hop back in and check it out. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Will try tonight but got wondering and decided to ask instead of waiting a few hours to find out.

Not even sure I completed the DLC's they are likely half finished there was a lot of base content and so much to do everywhere back then but they have trimmed the game down substantially this season so am hoping it will be a benefit for stadia low player base not having so many matchmaking activities to find teammates for and with messaging, my god that will make a difference.

Hi, @ARGAH o/ good to see you again, Destiny has been recycled with content 1 and 2. If you didn't finish the original expansions I think the Free mode gives you enough content, only the exotics are reusable.

I would recommend playing free and purchasing Beyond only if you get stuck with no content.

Destiny is a game changing and hardcore, to experience Destiny in its entirety you should only play Destiny.

And on Stadia you can't make PvP content so you only have access to 50% of the game anyway

Hi there @Whito, I'm actually not really interested in purchasing beyond light again for now playing strikes, gambit and crucible is enough but still have access to my forsaken campaign and moon activities so my pro DLC is account locked, was worried would lose it on the free to play version but still there.

I'm not hardcore anymore, have over 300 raid completions and maybe 5000 hours played on Xbox in the first 3 years, taking it easy nowadays :slightly_smiling_face:

@ARGAH

Oh so you know how Bungie works.

During 2018 I only played Destiny and lost interest in shadowkeep.

So I will wait until the end of 2021 to decide if I buy more content.

But if you only play Destiny or it's one of your favorite games I would buy it.

Yeah well aware how it works after being hooked by the addictive tactics they deploy for a long time, the fear of missing out keeping you doing mindless tasks on repeat but I broke the addiction.

Nowadays just want to jump on and play a few PvP matches, maybe a couple of strikes and some gambit, not interested at all in farming mats or gear or playing story modes, a few hours a week because I enjoy it no more raiding constantly to try get a vex mythoclast or whatever you call that gun from VOG.
