Connectivity Issues. From playing every day to not being able to play at all.

Hello, 

I am reaching out for one of my fellow players who isn't on this forum. He has a CCU hardwired to his tv and over the past week it has become unplayable. 

- Connection on Stadia says good, 200mb connection

- Router has been reset several times

- Unplugged the ethernet to try just wifi with the same results. 

Up until last week or so, everything has worked flawlessly. Now he can't play.  Any help would be appreciated.

@Octopusinks there are various reasons that your friend might be facing, and I know it can be difficult to identify the reason. Has this been happening all the time? Has your friend tried playing with different devices, and also different network? Sometimes the issue is from the ISP (maintenance, down time, issue, etc) and we want to make sure that's not the issue.

Further that that, you can ask your friend to try out more troubleshooting tips from the article below

Hello @Octopusinks, sorry to hear that you are having connectivity issues. Based on your message, it seems that you tried the interactive troubleshooter that Stadia has. If all suggested tries resulted in your connectivity issue still being present, then it is recommended to contact the Stadia support chat. Hopefully they can see more into why your area is being affected negativity. Might be that the local data center is experiencing some sort of issue, or that your instance is being sent to a far away data center resulting in poor connection. Not the good news you were looking for, but I hope this gives you a sense of direction on where to go about this issue.

@Ivan  So as it turns out, two of my friends are having the same issues. It turns out they both have WOW internet. They tried the troubleshooting you shared with no luck.  They said all other services in the house are working fine with the exception of Stadia.  We even tried the easiest possible games to run with the same issues. Has anyone heard anything about specific providers slowing down Stadia traffic?

Hi @Octopusinks -- to add to the very helpful responses given so far from @Ivan and @Delta13, it seems from very far away that the issue might be related to the ISP. Please have your friend(s) reach out to the ISP and request support. This would not be the first time such an issue has occurred, so make sure to keep us posted! Thanks for looking for help on behalf of your friend!
