I'm curious if any data exist or if anyone would actually know if the Chromecast Ultra has a similar or maybe even a better performance than the Chromecast that is currently available with the plug & play package offered? When I say performance I mean the latency of the stream & the streaming quality.
I am a big first person shooter guy and I like the idea that I can max out my overall gaming experience. To be honest my setup is working absolutely perfect but if one system were to perform better then I would get that in place of the CCU I currently have.
Just curious.
Hello @Rodzilla8735,
There is not any change in input lag between the Chromecast and the Chromecast Ultra.
It is all about the quality of the stream. Chromecast Ultra offert 4K & HDR while Chromecast doesn't.
Just a note – the Chromecast with Google TV available through the "play and watch" bundle should support 4K and HDR, just like the Chromecast Ultra. I do agree that there shouldn't be any difference in latency between the two.
