I like to capture, edit and share my gameplay footage for both personal and professional use. However, the WEBM format that the 30 second clips are exported in is really inconvenient, as it is not supported by Adobe software.
Is there any chance of alternative codecs to be supported, when downloading these clips, such as x264?
Hello @Earl,
Two thoughts. First, it should be relatively easy to transform using something like ffmpeg. If your software supports VP9 inside an MP4 file, you should be able to do a copy to avoid transcoding. If not, then you will have to transcode as well.
Second, this topic may be of interest to more Stadia users than just the Founders. So, you might want to post it in one of the other forums as well so it gets more visibility.
Try a screen recorder called Joyoshare VidiKit. Use its built-in video converter to change the video codec and select any output format you like. You can also directly use its built-in screen recorder to record your video in another kind of codec.
