Can't save game in Final Fantasy XV

I've been playing FFXV for around 18 hours and suddenly the game won't allow me to save. It gives the error: "Could not save game. Play will continue, but current progress is not saved." I tried reloading the instance, and waiting a while, no dice. Tried reloading previous saves and get the same issue. Anyone else experience this? Screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/flBEs4Y

I can't save any of my games. I have three games and all of them have started from the beginning. 

Have you found a solution yet?

@Devvon Indeed I would use the in-game report system to do so however at this point I believe it is known.

I understand that the bug has to be fixed by the developers, do you know if they are aware of the problem?

I got same problem and it is not fixed yet. Is this a known issue of windows version FFXV? If so, SE is.. I don’t wanna say. I hope they will fix it soon.

Same issue. I cannot save my game progress on FFXV. Started about 11/23 and 24th

I contacted google and submitted a ticket.

They also said to get with square as they cant touch the coding of the game. 

I hope this is taken seriously and they work with square to find a resolution.

I'm getting the same error. This is a weird error to have. I'm pretty sure I saw this issue pop up in 2017. This is the only game I have on Stadia and it is vertically unplayable. I hope this doesn't last throughout the three month free trial.

How far in did it start?  I am about 4 hours in and have seen no issues.

It started about 10 hours in for me but it soon rectified itself after a day. It reappeared 18 hours in at chapter 3. Haven't been able to save since.

Mines started at the end of chapter 4 just before ramuh then cleared up when I started chapter 5 but it came back.

I'm sure I'm 15+ hrs in.

Wow! Save won't work, lots of users encountering the same issue.  I wonder how this type of issue crept through the QA process....

Then again, Google is only hosting the games from other software development companies, it most definitely isn't their responsibility if these games do not function correctly on their Stadia platform.  After all, Google installed the software on their platform, why would they want to take the responsibility of investigating an issue directly with the software development company...

I guess that must be the approach being taken if the suggestion is that users should talk with the game software developers directly to try and get stuff fixed on Stadia...good luck with that!  I can just imagine the response that Square Enix are gonna give if Joe contacts the support department and says that he can't save his game on Stadia....

Well if google was smart they would listen. As here in the U.S. they are the ones who took my payment for a product/game. 

They will be the ones giving us our refund. Just like microsoft did with Anthem purchase from the Microsoft online store.

Besides they are our platform. They are the ones with business connections and ties with the developers. They should have a faster time to get things working. 

If they host games and do not do QA on their platform. Then that's just bad business practice. Ever see the hell that brought on to anthem for slapping in patches without testing. Now they have test servers.

At least I am not the only one with this problem. 

Lets hope, Square can fix this asap. 

You should use this time to watch the movie "kingsglaive: final fantasy xv" (amazon) and the 5 episodes of "Brotherhood: final fantasy xv" (Youtube).

I checked just now and I was able to save again. 

I'll update if it goes bonkers again. Now time to do the trial of ramuh and getting back regalia all over agian

Just tried myself. No go for me. This seems like a 3 year old issue and I can't find any patch fix from Square for this, only user fixes for PC. This is pretty frustrating.

Just out of curiousity: As Stadia-Team is telling that you should contact the developer with issues with their game: Did anyone of you already contact them?

I am be very curious about their answer: Are they actually on it to get a fix done or are they just blaming on Google and therefore the ball is just thrown from Google to Square Enix and back?

The only response i got from them until now, was:

"thank you for contacting us. We just forwarded your issue to the corresponding team. We'll let you know, as soon as we have more Information to share." ...

I got in touch with Stadia support. They said to contact Square Enix because they can't modify the code. 

Called Square Enix. They said to contact Stadia support because they can't touch the game saves.

Neither one wants to deal with it, so they just pass the buck to the other.

 

UPDATE:

I filed a bug report through the stadia feedback option and a support tech emailed me asking some clarifying questions. It seems like this technician will actually look at the problem.

 

I'll update this as my situation progresses.

I created a support ticket with Square Enix and they pushed the blame back to Stadia. I'm going to gather all the links to these types of posts and send it back to them. This seems like a game issue.

This is ridiculous. If they are just going to blame each other then people need to be warned not to buy this game until someone fixes this problem. I'm not in the business of buying bricked games. My money is for games that work. They could at least give us a progress report on what's going on. I'm not happy about this.

lol @Cyrus57 how bad is that? Stadia says they can't modify the code and Square Enix says they can't touch the game files?

I wonder which one of those two are indeed responsible for the problem. I mean, they can't throw the bucket between each other the whole time.
