Hi,
Stadia is coming to my country in some months. I am Xbox Series X user and I have a wired Xbox Controller which is USB. I wonder if there will be a chance to use Chromecast Google TV on a SmartTV (for instance) and be able to use the wired Xbox Controller I got. Any suggestion?
Hi @luisgotbars
Ahh sorry if you want to use a wired xbox controller that could work but you will need a powered USB hub to connect to your Google TV.
So not really plug and play and you will need a extra USB-C hub. Found a reddit topic about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/Chromecast/comments/jz3z29/can_a_wired_xbox_360_controller_work_with/
You are probably better of getting a supported controller to be honest. ![]()
Hi @luisgotbars
Not sure if the controller you are using is supported but yes it is possible to use third party controllers on the Google TV device with Stadia.
But according to this link you should be good: https://support.google.com/stadia/answer/9578631#compatible_controllers ![]()
Hi, thanks for replying.
I took a look to that table and it mentions Xbox Controlled USB or Bluetooth, so my doubt now is how the setup would work with USB wired Xbox controller and Google TV, any ideas?

Thank you!
I will explore more when Stadia is available in my country. Thanks a lot!
