Bug in Journey to The Savage Planet

Jump to Best Response

February 1st I got half an hour in and it looked fun.  A couple days later I can't get passed the start screen.

I can search through options menu and credits.  As soon as I hit single player the controls are unresponsive and the game doesn't load.

I have tried it on my laptop, pixel 3a, and CCU with the same problem happening. All other games work in my library and have no issues.

After chatting with Stadia support and going through all the obvious troubleshooting they refered me to 505 games.  After starting a ticket with 505 I got a response saying it was a Stadia issue.

If I am unable to play my pro game this month, I will be disappointed, but will live. My issue now is that I'm getting the runaround and unable remove the game from my library.

If there is no way to reset the game or address the bug then give me the option to hide/remove it from my splash screen. It mocks me everytime I boot up Stadia and can't play it.

Additional Update:

Hi everyone, please note that the patch that went live earlier today contains the following:

  • Addresses the issue causing save game corruption which were crashing the game when loading them at the main menu

  • The ability to detect corrupted saves in the main menu without crashing. If the player does have a corrupted save, it will now show as "corrupted" in the menu. By deleting the corrupted save, your game will look for other saves that can be loaded to recover some progress.

  • Fix to prevent co-op disconnects when suspending or switching devices

Hi folks, thanks for stopping by the Stadia Community Forum. I'm so sorry for the delayed updates regarding this issue, and I understand how frustrating this situation has been.

Please note that this issue is now resolved. If the issue persists on your end, please let us know. Thank you.

I found a related thread in the Stadia General forum.  Here’s a link.

Yeah, this isn't a founders-specific issue so this thread should probably be moved to the general forum. It sounds like the devs are working on a fix.

To be fair, I don’t think we have any Founders specific issues a year after launch so with that logic there wouldn’t be any point to having this Founders hub.

99% of stuff posted here is stuff that could have been posted to the general forum, or its spoiled founders asking for more special perks.

Other than that it’s the occasional thread for feedback from Google.

I think it’s fine for him to post that here, but it’s good for him to also be aware of the general forum.

My oppinion from the start was that this whole founders forum is just pointless fluff.

Dividing a small community even more and ask me anything but nothing that matters.

Hey all, thanks for the conversation here. We're aware of the issue affecting JttSP and are working to reach a timely resolution. When I have more information to share, we will provide an update. Thanks again, and we hope to have an answer soon.

I posted here because it's a smaller forum that is most likely monitored more than the general. I did get a response from support finally so hopefully the issue get solved soon.
