Stadia is an amazing platform. 99% of the time it is a smooth and awesome experience. The interface absolutely blows GeForce now out of the water. I hate launching games on GeForce, waiting for stream client, having to log into stream again etc... Stadia is instant on everytime. There are two issues holding Stadia back. The first is brand recognition. Ask 20 people of they have heard of Stadia 19.5 of them will say what are you talking about. This is thier biggest problem. Google needs to get Stadia in retail stores, and they need to ramp up marketing. The market here is not PS5 owners. It's not hard core gamers with $3000 PCs, it's casual gamers that enjoy playing, but haven't been able to justify the high entry price of consoles or a gaming rig. In my experiences, once people actually try Stadia they are blown away. Second issue, big titles games. This goes without saying really, but they need GTA, Battlefield etc.... @StadiaTeam if you can't walk into a Target or Walmart and see a Stadia display, then pickup a controller there is really no hope.
Hi, I know exactly what you mean. According to bestbuy.com you can get the stadia kit there but more stores would be more helpful. The best buy link. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/google-stadia-premiere-edition-clearly-white/6428982.p?skuId=6428982
Bringing big titles would also be very nice. Like COD and GTA
NOTE: location is in New York City, New York USA
This is why I have Stadia and I have high hopes for it. I have a Nintendo Switch as well. Nintendo is never going to play the AAA titles at good resolution, if ever. I played Witcher III on the Switch, fun but looks like garbage. My gaming rig days are long behind me at this point.
One tricky part is making sure people have good, fast internet.
