Bought Watch Dogs Legion Gold Edition in order to also get Watch_Dogs Complete but no code yet

I purchased Watch Dogs Legion Gold edition on 2/2 during the Ubisoft sale and have yet to receive my code for Watch Dogs Complete.

My goal was to buy the whole franchise at once and start at the first game so I skipped over buying watch dogs complete edition as it was supposed to come with Legion gold edition.

I however wasn't aware of the issues in regards to the promo codes before purchasing.

If I was at time of purchase I would've just bought the complete editions of 1&2 and put off Legion until later.

I'm wondering if I have to get past the game return window before the code drops, that way an unscrupulous person couldn't just return legion and retain watch_dogs:complete for free.

However I don't have any interest in playing Legion right away and starting with the original game was an important part of why I bought the Gold edition

I'm concerned I'll still be stuck with only games 2&3 after the refund period is up.

If I can get written confirmation I need to get past the refund period before the code drops I'll just leave legion on menu and tap the controller every few minutes to get past the 2 hour mark, and hopefully get my code.

But again I'm afraid it won't and then I'm stuck with 2&3 yet not the first one.

I did contact support through messenger but have been hanging tight as instructed for going on a couple days by now with no further word.

I know this is a not uncommon topic here but it seems like the only answer is keep waiting (and if it never comes I'd rather return) or ask on the forum. So here I am asking on the forum.

Thanks in advance and apologies for the ramble.

Hi @GrumpySaurus

I am sorry I am not sure if you need to get passed the refund period before getting the code.
I know some people already got the code from Ubisoft after a few days of purchase.

So not sure if the Stadia team is able to answer your question.
Did you reach out to Ubisoft? They need to send your code so you can claim the game. :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes:

The other posts here about missing watch_dogs complete edition codes all show them coming from Google and not Ubisoft. But I've made a support ticket with them just in case.

I think I'm just gonna take my chances and play past two hours to see what happens. Either that or wait a couple days since the two week mark is close at this point. I didn't want to do that because I didn't want to be stuck with 2&3 yet not 1 but oh well at least I got them on sale...

Other people may have gotten their codes sooner but I have a feeling most buyers have interest in playing Legion immediately after purchasing it, with the first game only being a cool bonus to them, so they'll be passing the return window faster than I, going past two hours played before they go beyond two weeks owned.

Whereas I'm actually waiting on the first game to unlock before playing the franchise in order and as such don't have interest in playing Legion just yet.

@GrumpySaurus  Did you already received the Code for Watch Dogs Complete Edition?  I bought it once and did not got the code after 4 days, so i cancelled my order and got my money back. But a few days ago I bought the Legions Gold Edition for a second time, because I got weak for playing Watch Dogs and like the last time I havent got a code for Watch Dogs 1 Complete Edition. I am wondering how long it will take.

I finally received the code a month later, on March 3rd. I purchased the game on February 2nd.

I was also in private contact with Stadia support, being told to hold tight and contacting them letting them know I still didn't receive the code about once weekly until I finally did.

I don't know what they did on their end so I'm not sure if it came the same time it would've if I just waited patiently, or if I got it specifically because I kept bugging support.

The email with the code did indeed come from Stadia, and not Ubisoft.

Ubisoft is responsible for in game content and this is a stadia store code, not an in game feature, so it's Google's responsibility to send it out.
