Does Stadia officially support chromebooks / chrome OS, and if so, which ones? The laptops which run on operating sysyem: Chrome OS.
Officially it's not mentioned in the Stadia helpcenter that chromebooks are supported, but that you can play on the Stadia app and/or the Chrome Browser. As far as I know both is offered on Chromebooks, so I would assume that you can play Stadia on a chromebook.
I've seen some players in the past here in the forum mentioning playing Stadia on Chromebooks, but I can't tell you anything about the experience, maybe some other helpful folks with chromebooks can give you some advice here as well. ![]()
To add on the info @Chufu shared with you @Greenhill
Be sure to find a Chromebook that has a CPU with official VP9 support.
This way you will get the best out of the Stadia stream from what is possible right now.
I recently bought a HP Chromebook with a Intel chipset for my cousin which supports VP9 and he is enjoying Stadia a lot. ![]()
