There is currently no way to share image or video captures directly from the Stadia app. This functionality will be added in a future update.
For now, the only way to do it is to use Google Takeout to download the data: https://takeout.google.com/settings/takeout
You should be able to see a Stadia category and can then download it.
You can view your captures on mobile and just take snapshots of them. Works well enough for me.
@JeanMontarde , with picture captures, I've using the same method as @mcnichoj mentioned. But with videos, if you play on a Windows PC, you can use the Windows key + G to open the xBox Bar and easily record the game that way.
You can use G Mail too, open a new mail an click on the button to insert pictures.
There you can find your images. ![]()
@Artifact Never tried it with the app.
Do you have this icon? (screenshot)
thats great!
Thanks all for the nice answers! I'll check all the possibilities ![]()
FYI, still no share feature, but it is now possible to playback and download clips and screenshots via Chrome. A step in the right direction at least...
I downloaded the video file from Stadia.com and wanted to share it with some friends in WhatsApp. I was able to share that file but once you downloaded it, it didn't really work when you wanted to view it in your phone. The video only displayed 1 second of 30 second long file.
Those files are to large to share directly. Better upload it somewhere (cloud, onedrive usw) and share the link.
I figured it was something like that. I actually uploaded them to YouTube and made them hidden/private and shared the link to the video that way.
how do you upload them straight to youtube? @MovingShadow
