To clarify: I am the older child
So I logged into Stadia for the first time today, then realized a lot of games I was hoping to get aren't showing up in the store or anywhere else.
After some research I figured out why, Stadia has an age rating system for children which I think is great, but I'm allowed to play 18+ games and have been for years, since my parents can't change this setting for me for some reason it's kind of a bummer.
We all have iPhones and don't really use the Google family ecosystem much besides sharing a Google one membership, if anyone could tell me if I can change it (and where) it'd be greatly appreciated ![]()
Hi @PixelNull,
There are two ways:
Try to change your age on your Google account.
Let your parents create a Google account and let them setup a Google Family. They can change your allowed PEGI rating.

I''m already in a family and they can't change my rating anywhere, the Stadia family page doesn't help at all the only options I can see are about family sharing, a family pay thing and my subscription (Which displays incorrect information, says I have no subscription but I'm currently on a 3 month trial)
They should be able to do that.

Gameplay limits
When you set up a Stadia account for your child, you can set limits on the game content they can access, as well as your child's ability to connect with other players. After setup, you can manage these settings on the Stadia family dashboard.
Note: If you set restrictions while your child is playing a game, they won't take effect until the next time they start a game.
Games restrictions by rating: You can set content restrictions based on game ratings. Your child can access every game at the rating you choose and below. Games with a rating above the one you've chosen will not be visible to your child in the Stadia Store tab.
To set games restrictions on the Stadia family dashboard, tap Edit.
How your child connects with other players: You can choose if you want your child to be able to play multiplayer games or voice chat with other players online.
To manage your child's settings on the Stadia family dashboard, tap the slider next to each setting.
The age thing worked, didn't realise it was that easy to go over the 18 year thing
Simply changing the age doesn't work (anymore) as you need proof of age via ID or credit card.
If your age is <18, then your parents should be able to change the setting in the Stadia family page. If you've recently changed your age though, it can take a while for this setting to show up. Nightly batch processing anyone ![]()
