With Destiny 2 right now, when you report a player on Stadia (without proof), the player automatically gets a warning. And when a player gets a certain amount of warnings, that player gets banned.
As some of you know, I often organize #Destiny2onStadia PvP Tournaments. And sometimes, true to its stigma, PvP often brings the worst out of people. I mean, Stadia does not have a messaging system, and there is currently no way to cheat in Destiny 2 on Stadia. In other words, ways to abuse the game are very limited, borderline non-existent. Aware of this, many players are now abusing this system, submitting multiple reports without cause. For instance, a player can report another player just because they are upset about losing a Crucible game, and they can submit that report in just a few clicks, without any evidence.
So, here's my simple ask, @StadiaTeam , be transparent about your current reporting system. And STOP the automatic warnings and bans without proof.
Hi there @Streamer, I'm sorry to hear about the situation you faced in your tournament. After reading your feedback, we updated our Filing a report help center article with a little bit more information regarding the report system.
As mentioned in the How Reports Work section, we take the abuse of our report system very seriously. If you ever feel that you've been unfairly targeted by our reporting system, please reach out to our customer care team with your concerns.
@Streamer I understand the automatic warnings if you get a report but has anyone actually gotten banned? If so, apologies that, that actually happened. I know you put a lot of work into your tournaments, I alway smile when I see your tournament posts every now and then.
Let me know if you have seen a ban come out of multiple warnings.
@Deleted User Unfortunately Fly and Fool, (Others have been, I dont know their names however) have been banned from false reporting.
@Noble Interesting,
. I'll go on and pass it along and hopefully this gets resolved. Can't promise anything though.
@Deleted User Thank You!

Thanks for responding and caring about this issue. Yes, players have been banned. And to be honest, I don't get the need for the automatic warnings either. Because many of them are sent out without proof. Can you provide some insight into how they function?
@Streamer According to the support article about reports, each report is manually reviewed, so if people are getting automatically banned then something is probably not working as intended.
I don't have the ability to look at reports or how they operate as I'm just a volunteer helper here on the forums but I've passed it along so hopefully this situation can get resolved. Unfortunately it's out of the scope of what I'm capable of doing.
Seems like something that needs to get patched up asap if people are able to automatically ban people! Seems very dangerous.

Thank you for looking into this, promptly and making yourself available to help. I attached a couple of screenshots of what those warnings and bans look like.
@Streamer Thanks! I passed those both along as well.
I agree one person should never have that kind of power . not even upset players . kids thinking they are being funny can get others banned just to be jerks . giving people that ability no matter what shouldn't be aloud .
There are other ways to go about this and I'm sure @stadia can get this right so no one gets banned for the wrong reasons !

Thank you for listening to us, and taking measures to improve this process in the future.
i got banned for no reason at all i was looking for players which is what the discord is for and i got banned for it.
@Streamer Just curious, when you say reporting, do you mean people have been reporting through Stadia, or through the in-game reporting function on the game itself? I play D2 on PC a lot and as you may know cheating is really bad there, so people are so used to report anything that closely resembling like cheating (even though it might be the case that the player is just really good). But there's no evidence any action has been taken due to reporting.
