I got Stadia Pro 2 days ago - mainly to get Assassins Creed Odyssey cheaper. Since then the 5.1 audio Pro features are causing me big problems on my mobile phone (OnePlus 8Pro).
I just have background (surround) audio, but not main voice audio. At first I thought it was AC: Odyssey's fault, so I successfully asked for a refund. Then I started Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which I bought few days before the Stadia Pro subscription and already played a couple of hours. All of a sudden I had the same audio issues with no voice audio. I started another game Ghost Reacon Breakpoint with the exact same result.
So how can I turn off the 5.1 audio feature?
I've already canceled Stadia Pro because of this, but the features will run until the expiration date. I therefore ask the support to immediately remove Stadia Pro from my account but the guy on the support chat told me that it is not possible. I have to wait until it the Pro subscription expires.
BTW: On my Macbook Air it still works perfectly fine. No sound problems. There are surround and voice audio - exactly the way it should be.
Video 1: Macbook Air plugged in to a monitor via HDMI - You can cleary hear the voice audio of the character
Video: 2: Android Phone (OnePlus 8 Pro) - You can hear surround audio but no voices.
Same issue here on my Oneplus 6T with AC Odyssey.
It happened after I played AC Odyssey on my Pixelbook Go, after which dialogue sound during and out of cinematics stopped, I can only here background sound. Whistling to call Phobos is also inaudible but normal whistling to get enemy attention is audible.
You don't realize how much dialogue in a video game is important until it's no longer accessible
. It's actually putting me off from playing on stadia as now I'm getting the issue on Destiny 2 (still only on Oneplus 6T, I can only play on mobile for the time being). If anyone has a fix it would be great ![]()

Glad to see I'm not the only one with this issue. It's really weird to see only OnePlus users apparently being affected by this. I found another post on reddit with this problem and this guy with an OnePlus 7 Pro.
Yeah I had another issue with another of Google's services, Google Duo, and as it turned out it was an issue only found on Oneplus phones. Weird when Oneplus has an OS that is so close to Stock Android.
