Big games and big news this week, starting with six more free games landing on Stadia Pro October 1! Claim them as part of the 29 games available for free with Stadia Pro in October.

  • (NEW!) Launching directly into Stadia Pro October 1, it’s Dead by Daylight. Stalk your friends. They’ll love it. Or be stalked and outwitted by your friends. They’ll love that, too. In Dead by Daylight, switch off between becoming the hunter and becoming one of the hapless hunted, teaming up to take down the big bad and survive. Dead by Daylight on Stadia also allows cross-play with all other platforms where Dead by Daylight is available.

    And Dead by Daylight launches with Crowd Choice, the new Stadia feature that lets you take control of the action as it unfolds live on YouTube, hosted by your favorite YouTube Creator. Team up with other viewers to vote and change the game as it’s happening. Select whether they play as the Killer or a Survivor in Dead by Daylight… then pick which Killer or Survivor they’ll become!

    Crowd Choice is coming to more games on Stadia soon. You’ll be able to select the story decisions your favorite YouTube Creator makes in Baldur’s Gate 3, and we’re planning even more new ways you’ll be able to use Crowd Choice in other games.

  • (NEW!) Also direct into Stadia Pro October 1, here comes Human: Fall Flat. What’s better than hilarious, offbeat, body-flopping platforming on your own? Sixteen people doing it together! Chaos abounds in Human: Fall Flat, where each dreamscape presents its own challenges and you’re out to climb, jump, and snowboard over whatever it throws at you.

  • SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE – Become the guns akimbo master you were always destined to be. All the fast-paced stylistic action, technowizardry, special effects slo-mo you’ve come to expect from SUPERHOT, and more.

  • Lara Croft: Temple of Osiris – This treasure of the ancient world is not going to collect itself! The Tomb Raider and up to three friends unearth a subterranean temple together in this multiplayer action dungeon crawler.

  • Celeste – One of the best platformers in years combines brilliant level design with a poignant, heart-wrenching story. Both the difficulty and the dialogue will likely make you cry. In a good way.

  • Jotun – Ancient gods and arctic landscapes await the brave solo adventurer who dares confront Jotun, a challenging action adventure that pits a single brave hero against all the powers of Valhalla.

Also, now’s your last chance to grab Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, The Turing Test, and Metro 2033 Redux with Stadia Pro. Claim them by September 30 to get them for free before they leave Stadia Pro! All three games will also remain available to purchase in the Stadia store in October and beyond.

Risk of Rain 2 hits the Stadia store today

Four-player cooperative roguelike survival. That’s a beautiful sentence, and it helps sum up what makes Risk of Rain 2 so special. Pick from 10 unique characters and fight solo or with up to three friends as you take on a dangerous world with over 100 items that change how you play, every time. Risk of Rain 2 launches on Stadia today, and you can buy it on the Stadia store for a limited-time discount price of $19.99 USD.

An all-new level, Sundered Grove, is arriving First on Stadia, so all Stadia players will be among the first to fight within its maze of roots and haunting battleground. Battle all the way from the lofty canopy to the deep underground! This level will accompany Abyssal Depths and Siren’s Call as an alternate fourth level where survivors will have to search the entangled area for the legendary chest.

Pretty solid pro games this month. Not sure why some were expecting something in new features or updates on promised features. We have connects for those. These are for pro games and discounts, that's it.

Stadia doesn`t lern from his mistakes ...

The only Game that is worth news is DBD and there are no informations ... Is only the Main Game for free and have to pay all addons? Is all free incl addons? Or are just the last 3 Addons free? (It has 11 or so :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: )

No information about the performance of upcoming games ... Will Valhalla or Fenix be like on Xbox one X or Xbox Series X - No new Game announcements ...

Stadia has to push out and the only thing what is different is a 1 Min presentation Video ...

Sorry Google, but you dont take Stadia Seriously, so i dont do it too -.-

Its not worth to wait for lifetime that is never comming.

This is the best month ever I wanted all of these games besides Lara Croft but all of these I do not have and wanted for a long time!

@Classic-Rando

I'm semi with you those features such as library sorting are noticeably missing, but more games is never a bad thing though.  Should try playing some of them as some are quite enjoyable.  That aside you mentioned you'd be happy if a ps4 exclusive came to a rival console, I know its on steam but pc is not a rival market for Sony, stadia and xbone are.  Are you also holding out hope for halo?  Just trying to say be reasonable in what you ask for, like if you asked for gta 5 or something I wouldn't have bothered replying.

Been waiting for these games to come to Pro. Just another reason to stay subscribed!

Best part about this announcement is the launch of crowdchoice and hopefully crowdplay will launch very, very soon.

Looking forward to the future for Stadia!

II think you might have pointed out the reason why I'm always disappointed with the stadia Pro games, if I want a game, I buy it, the only games I want aren't out yet.

I'm not having a go here, I'm trying to be sincere, but maybe the difference between my expectations from Stadia and other people's reactions stems from the individuals financial situation.

Stadia seems to offer 10 or more games that I would never even consider playing, for ever one game I would enjoy (but likely have already owned).

I just want a decent catalogue of games that I haven't already played, but stadia seem to be putting all their eggs in the future market, but in the meantime, people are leaving the platform en mass.

@Classic-Rando I feel like Dead By Daylight easily falls into that description. It is a top 15 game viewed on Twitch and a top 20 game played on Steam. Add in Celeste and the Super Hot expansion and I think it is a pretty good lineup. I was going to buy Dead By Daylight. I almost bought it on Steam a month ago because I didnt want to wait. I can see how Pro games will have misses for many people, but almost every month there has been something that I genuinely appreciate playing.

For Playstation Plus I forget to look for the games half the time because most of them are misses for me. The last 4 games over the last two months have been Fall Guys, Street Fighter V, PUBG, and Modern Warefare 2 remastered. PUBG I have through Stadia (and have never been interested in it), Fall Guys is cool for a lot of people but not for me, Street Fighter V seems like a pretty version of an old game, and MW2 remastered literally is a pretty version of an old game. In July maybe I would have been pumped about Rise of the Tomb Raider if I didnt already have it on Stadia.

I was initially upset DbD didn't get here in September, but since you're making it a Pro title (along with it launching with some crowd functionality) I am totally happy and completely forgive the lack of comms throughout September. :slightly_smiling_face:

HHonestly, at this point, I'd be happy with AC Origins, and other Anvil Knight games that could be ported over easily as they already have the game engine working.

And I'm not bothered about exclusive games, just good games, it's all just too slow, that's why people are leaving the platform.

@Classic-Rando We got news on Crowd choice which is a promised feature. Also, saying nobody wants DbD is not true, it's a game many have been looking forward to and will be glad to see it coming straight to pro! this game gets great viewership on Twitch if i remember correctly this is a game people care about and want

@MrButler

YYes Dead by Daylight is a good get, the others I wouldn't play for more it's than 5 minutes, and it's not just about pro games, it's about games I want to buy, there is nothing in the catalogue that I want I've played through every game I enjoyed, they need to get more games that are still selling well, even if they're 2 years old or more, AC Origins is a prime example.

Reddead was keeping me here and only play when updates come out now mostly play apex and war zone and dead by daylight on ps4 I wish I would never have to switch back but the lack of games I like keeps me away

@Classic-Rando

Those are games that make sense to come to the platform but not up to stadia on what games come or not unfortunately but I can understand the frustration if you just can't enjoy indie games.

You made a good point about financial situation influencing this as I'm broke these days thanks to corona and appreciate anything free to atleast try out.

Lastly most of the "you lost my pro sub" comments are from people who weren't subbed anyway, not all of them but most.  And most of the people who say that and are subbed don't even cancel their sub after saying it.  Happened a lot with ps plus as well, they just wanted to try and throw weight behind their dislikes.

Haha, @Classic-Rando is a classic troll and it makes me smile to see him here being all angsty. People who think they speak for everybody by stating "nobody" wants this, that or the other have the most creative complaints because they are too far gone to see the "nobody" they speak of is them.

Keep coming back brother, because the elusive happiness you are looking for is locked away in one of the 40+ free games you have received with your Stadia Pro subscription.

Not everyone who is unhappy is a troll.....he has some valid points for his circumstances and I'm sure many others as well.  The same like 50 people are posting here, if that.  There are over 7k views on this page last I checked, everyone here represents a large amount of stadia players.

TThe people saying loudly "I'M LEAVING EVERYONE, LOOK, WATCH ME LEAVE!".

Yes, they're just trying to influence people, but you can't argue with the facts, try to get another player in RDR2 online, MK11, or Xenoverse, at this point the only multi player game that actually has players is Destiny 2, and you can see the numbers dropping daily.

Melll

I think everyone should be thankful for anything of value that's given to them as much as I am when it comes to that sort of thing when you can't be a chooser to be exact, so let's all just be honestly grateful right now because nothing irks me more than seeing people whine and complain about getting something nice and throwing it back as if you were given a piece of garbage.  I have tried other streaming services.  I get the best performance on Google Stadia and I highly recommend it to everyone that I know.  I wish more people would give it a try because once they did they would hop right on aboard once they see how it performs and how great the service really is so here's a cheers to the Google Stadia team, thank you!

@Classic-Rando

I don't own or play mk11 so I can't speak to that but as for xv2 I own it and all dlc on pc and I can't find anyone on there, could just be its a like 10 year old game and everone plays fighterz now?  As for destiny 2 I played it until division 2 released as I'm sure many others did as well.  Im not denying the decline, its definitely a thing, but maybe its for other reasons?  As for rdr2 online I own it but never played, even found single player boring and went back to gta on pc instead.

In short, more games means more splitting of players.

Classic-Rando
Stadia Player

@Gaudhand

OOf course I don't speak for everyone, but I've seen over 70 people come to stadia and leave, I'm simply relaying the reasons why they left.

A lot of people are actively on discord servers telling people how bad it is, and stating the reasons I've been saying, if you're on a discord server, and thinking about joining stadia, then 70+ people say don't because of reasons x, y and z, they likely won't join.

I had hoped for Destroy All Humans and Sniper Elite 4. That would be exciting and get people interested in the platform. Lara Croft is a good game, but I already got it. The rest I have to say is wasted on me.

@Commotus

IIf there are no players to play the multi player games, people who like those games will leave. Meaning less players all round,.

Stadia need to fullfil their promises, and get the player base back up, or it's basically doomed.

My gaming buddy also bailed on stadia but his was due to lag, unplayable where he lives unfortunately.  Why I enjoy cross play with pc personally.

Good luck with the hard-core fan boys, I love stadia and hope it succeeds but they are making some seriously questionable decisions.

It's going to be so fun playing such a great lineup of games all winter long while so many we know are out there paying $500 just to buy a new system.  That's like four years of stadia games just for the console price alone.

@Gaudhand

You also seem to be completely misunderstanding me, I'm not unhappy, I'm very happy, I managed to build a company from scratch and sell it, I'm now 42 and retired, I'm very happy.

Gaming wise, if I want something, I buy it, and I do try out all of the pro games, I've probably enjoyed 2 for an hour or so, and the ones that I would have enjoyed, I already played years ago.

I want stadia to succeed, but from my point of view, it doesn't seem to be marketed at the gamer who has money to spend, rather it seems marketed at kids relying on pro subscriptions.

If stadia ever does get its act together, I'll try and get people to play here again, in the meantime, I'll be happy with my PC and PS 5.

No mans sky and star citizen are independent games that I enjoy, I would exchange all these 6 games for SFV or MW2 without hesitation.

For me only Metro Exodus and Grid have deserved and are ... meh

Oh believe me I canceled, but the 1080 60 performance is garbage I only pay for 4K and this trust me will be until I update my PC or buy a PS5 PRO surely the PC will come first.

That DBD is seen on YouTube or Twitch does not mean that it is a good game, surely neither launch it to see it.

You don't like us to complain, I don't like false support, as you can see everyone has their opinion... and I complain cuz I support with my money not my words (awwww pd1 i love you team) omg!!!

And this is honestly frustrating, it is like trying to teach a ape to speak, they are very similar to us and very intelligent, it seems that it could speak, even have our vocal cords ...but is a brain problem.

DBD is a good game, trouble is, it was a good game when I first played it over 4 years ago now, sure if it's for pro, it's great for those who never bought it.

The main thing is though, that it's a good game, and stadia needs more good games, regardless of how old they are!

This is to everyone who thinks I'm posting "hate" to Stadia, are your lives so empty that you think someone would do that?

I spend my time (time I could spend in far better ways) trying to get through to stadia because I care, I'm invested in the platform working and being successful.

The sad truth though, is that the people running stadia have a diamond, and they are just covering it in dirt instead of polishing it!

@Classic-Rando, your comment today was "classic." It is becoming part of my Tuesday tradition to read the awesome updates in TWoS and then scroll down to see how you managed to spin it negatively at the top of the comment section. My Tuesday just wouldn't be the same without it! Today's effort was particularly impressive.

We deserve a reasonable price for (Destroy All Humans) because of its delay, I am not saying that they have to bring it for free, but an appreciable price, and do not say that it is because of CoV19 since if you support independent developers you must also support all developers to the other to bring games on Stadia... :four_leaf_clover::call_me_hand:

DBD was a good game if it was accompanied by SE4 or some mafia, demons have had NBA2k Division 2 or Ghost Recon practically given away and although I already have them, heck give them away to attract players to the platform the tomb raider bought it at launch and neither I have launched it yet and I do not care if they give it away I buy my games at full price I do not care, it just gives a message that you are solid and you are serious if Nintendo wanted and its community would be in Nintendo, I thought Stadia was something else .

For how much longer are they going to have the argument that they are starting 1 year 2 years 3 years, the game market gives more money than cinema or weapons and you want to win the Oscar for best actor with an independent film (never better said xD ) or seek a contract with department of defense with a squirt gun.
