It does indeed (in terms of games and many other things), and just for @ChaosTheory I'm just as harsh on CD Project Red and Blizzard as I am on Stadia, they both knew their games weren't going to make the release dates long before the announcements, but they wanted the pre sales (and Blizzard wanted continued subscriptions), so they screwed the pooch.

Just so you're aware that I hold everything to the same standards, as you seem to think I come here to criticise Stadia for fun I guess?

I don't know, I just call out what I see (good and bad), whenever and wherever I see it.

I think you're overly harsh in general. Take a chill pill and just enjoy the games. You're too young for ppl to think you're just a miserable a codger.

I'm not harsh, I'm critical and expect excellence from the things that I pay for, only accepting the best and calling out what I consider to be failure or errors is probably the single most important thing that has enabled me to retire at 40 (that, long hours and hard work), I'm far from miserable, I now have the rest of my life to piss around having the fun I missed out on in my 20s, and I never have to worry about money again, I love my life, I just hold things to a high standard, everything

The fact that I criticise stadia so much is because I actually believe in the concept, now that a Bluetooth Chromecast has been released, stadia could not only be releasing games, but software, imagine doing your taxes on Stadia, graphic design software, anything you want, it could litteraly replace the need for a PC entirely.

In the meantime, we're a year in, and still don't have a text chat feature, if I was head of the Stadia project, things would be very different, I guarantee you that as happy as you may be now, you'd be much more happy with someone competent in charge.

I’ve been playing Stadia since release. And I’ve played a few hours each week. I now can say this. It works for adventure games. But the input lag is present in evry game, more in some, like metro, less in some, like destiny. You can say what you want and blame my connection but it doesn’t matter because if input lag simple wasn’t a fact we would have seen more fast paced games by now. Instead we have seen more indie games and adventure games.

These are still enjoyable, and it is still amazing that google made this work, and I’ve been playing a lot, but I miss being able to play fast paced sports, racing or shooting games and since I can afford it I’ve ordered an Xbox.

I’ll be keeping my stadia controllers but I’ll cancel my pro subscription.

cheers!

@StadiaTeamthank you SO much for bringing Risk of Rain 2 to Stadia. Literally losing my mind over it this last week. I was super excited for Sniper Elite 4 when I saw this but I haven't even touched it once because I accidentally played Risk of Rain 2 first and it absolutely blew my mind. Haven't played anything else since. SUCH an incredible game. Thank you!!

It would be nice if stadia users who purchased the controller and are subscribed to stadia had an offer on a second control pad. It's not great you tube users are thought of ahead of those who support the platform.

@Supermanofsteel

II normally bash the Stadia team for what I see as stupid decisions, but in my eyes this is by far the smartest thing they've done so far.

People who are already stadia fans aren't going anywhere, and regardless of how much denial some Stadia user are, user numbers are in decline, due in no small part to all the negative reviews Stadia has gotten on YouTube :rolling_on_the_floor_laughing:

By giving YouTube premium subscribers (ie people who have already stepped up and said I'm willing to pay for that wich I could have free, just get the **bleep** adverts out of my face, or to look at it another way, people willing to spend money) a free controller, Chromecast and months subscription, I'd be willing to bet that litteraly millions of people who would otherwise have never even considered Stadia, will see its benefits and become paying customers, and what's more, customers who (by the simple act of paying for something that's on offer for free) likely are willing to buy games, instead of just relying on Pro subscriptions.

As I said above, I usually bash Stadia, because they've made soo many questionable decisions and mistakes, but being someone who is willing to pay for what I like, I already own 2 Chromecast-Ultras, 2 new codename Sabrina Chromecast TVs, and 3 controllers (also every decent game in the catalogue), I assume when the deal comes to the EU, I'll be able to add another Chromecast and controller to the list of Stadia related things, though to be honest, after the 19th, I can't really see myself using stadia again, from all accounts BG3 is better on a keyboard than controller, so I'll get that on my PC, and when I pick up my PS5, I'll be buying games on an individual performance vs performance basis.

I'll be keeping my stadia account, but they've got some very large strides to make to complete with the "big boys" of the gaming world, and getting a solid customer base for multilayer and co-op games is one of them, this will be a huge step in the right direction.
