  • The Gardens Between (NEW on Stadia) – Wield control over time to unravel gorgeous puzzles in a rich, tranquil world.
  • Hello Neighbor: Hide & Seek (NEW on Stadia) – The sequel to the original Hello Neighbor makes its Stadia Pro debut. Get ready for more chilling hijinks and stealth action.
  • Republique – Hack security systems and take down a despot in this game of stealth and subterfuge.
  • Sundered: Eldritch Edition – Unravel dark magics and unlock new paths to victory in this vast, beautiful exploratory platformer.

Also, a friendly reminder that October 31 is your last day to claim Just Shapes & Beats, Metro Last Light Redux, Strange Brigade, and West of Loathing free with Stadia Pro.

Subscribers should be sure to grab them before the end of the month. And remember, once you’ve claimed these games for free on Stadia Pro, you can keep playing them for free as part of your subscription.

Two more big games hit the Stadia store

Put your reflexes to the ultimate test in the devilishly difficult epic Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Embrace an award-winning, masterfully designed challenge crafted by FromSoftware, the minds behind Dark Souls. Purchase Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice in the Stadia store for a special reduced price of $38.99 USD or €38.99 on October 28.

Then take your skills to the streets of future London in Watch Dogs: Legion. Pit your cunning against the machinations of a sprawling surveillance state. Play as ANYONE as you build a resistance in the latest adventure from Ubisoft. Buy Watch Dogs: Legion in the Stadia store for $59.99 USD or €69.99 on October 29.

PUBG Season 9 launches this week

Get set for life on the ever-changing plateau of Paramo. Lava flows cut through this map, changing the terrain before every drop. PUBG Season 9 lands on Stadia October 29.

Don’t miss out on trying Immortals Fenyx Rising and HUMANKIND!

Last week, we celebrated games with three days of good stuff, including free exclusive demos for Immortals Fenyx Rising and PAC-MAN Mega Tunnel Battle, and a free HUMANKIND beta.

The PAC-MAN Mega Tunnel Battle demo just ended, but you can still play the free HUMANKIND beta through October 28 at 9 AM PT and the Immortals Fenyx Rising demo free through October 29 at 9 AM PT.

Is Sekiro at the "special reduced price" the Game of the Year edition? I'm asking because if it IS, it's actually a good price. If it's not the GOY edition, then it's not really a good price.

Watch Dogs: Legion. $59.99 USD or €69.99

WTF???

1$ = 0.85€ ... so it should be $59.99 USD or €50.99

€50.99!!!!! If this will be the case for all games, then this will be over for me and I'll be going back to playstation once ps5 is out! :pouting_face::pouting_face::pouting_face:

Risk of rain 2 is an amazing add to all pro subscribers. Unfortunately I bought it less than one month ago and used that 10€ code to buy it (I was waiting to use it on a game that I really wanted). It turns out that I've chosen poorly.

It's a bummer not to feel uncomfortable with the situation. I guess what I can do is to think twice when I decide to buy an indie game on stadia, which are the ones with full potential to be on pro in the future.

The ones who decided to wait will find a great game. I'm glad more people will be able to join and play together.

Its OKAY. I hoped for an old Assassin's Creed game in pro.

Google, please try to switch to a full subscription model like xCloud. All these games to play for a set cost a month would be deadly. I'm not paying £50 for a game on Stadia when I can add it to my steam collection and be confident that it will stay there

"not bad for once"

What a back-handed complement. you're such a miserable shrew. nothing they do will ever truly make you happy. why are you even here ?

Classic-Rando
Stadia Player
Stadia Player

@ChaosTheory

TThe vain hope that outright bad will turn into not bad, and that in time, it will turn into good.

You seem to be missing something, I'm measuring how good Stadia is doing compared to my PC, PS4, Nintendo switch, and what the Xbox community (that I own but don't use, because I generally prefer the PS exclusives, layout etc), and the best thing I can honestly say is that it's not bad.

It's not a back handed compliment, it's not a compliment at all, it's just not a condemnation. All these people who are saying "amazing" etc must be so easy to please it's just silly, I can only imagine what they'd say if I bought them a decent PC, or console?

ChaosTheory
Founder
Founder

I just gave my PS4 to a friend because I'm happy with Stadia. That seems it would invalidate your entire claim.

Xevioso
Founder
Founder

@Classic-Rando I won't say you're wrong. But I will say our experience is different, and that doesn't necessarily make users like me "so easy to please it's just silly". I think people have different gaming experiences, so whether they enjoy this one or not is very subjective. Unlike you who seems to have an expansive gaming experience - "PC, PS4, Nintendo switch, and what the Xbox community (that I own but don't use", I've mainly been a PC player. I have never been a console player, nor handheld (Switch) player.

I don't know if Stadia will be able to keep up with the other streaming platforms that are coming out based on price and game availability. But up till now for someone like me who has been just a PC gamer, it has been amazing. Sometimes I am really frustrated with Stadia as a service, and sometimes I think it's amazing. That doesn't mean it's without flaws. It's possible to really enjoy an experience or platform and also recognize there are things that need to be fixed.

I used to tell people to stop complaining and just quit if they don't like it. But I was wrong. People should complain. Maybe their complaint will be seen or heard, and something will get fixed and make the platform better for everyone. So I don't tell people not to complain anymore. But I do think we have to keep in mind that everybody's experience is different when we start labeling other users as either complainers, or easy to please.

@Xevioso

VVery fair and well said.

@ChaosTheory

CCos your anecdotal evidence completely demolishes the fact that Stadia user numbers are dropping, more and more people are sick of the lack of variety and launch day promises kept combined with problems (we still don't have text chat ffs!).

You're clearly a fanboy who is just going to cheer regardless, where I'm holding Stadia to the same standards that I hold every other platform out there, and am equally critical of when they fail at what they are doing.

Edit.

I'm not going to bother correcting the double letters that for some reason appear at the start of every post I make anymore.

Classic-Rando
Stadia Player
Stadia Player

@Xevioso

II also do enjoy Stadia when they get things right, my playthrough of RDR2 on Stadia was far better than the PS4, I'll give stadia credit where its due, just as I call out the problems that I see.

ChaosTheory
Founder
Founder

"the fact that Stadia user numbers are dropping"

and you making up facts you have no access to is clear you are a troll. those numbers are not available to you. how do you know this is a fact other than from your own anecdotal evidence?

on the contrary, we can use numbers we do have access to like the r/stadia sub numbers and stadia youtube views and those numbers are increasing. so ACTUAL facts that contradict your anecdotal evidence.

Classic-Rando
Stadia Player
Stadia Player

Where Stadia and RDR2 failed, was the online game, which let's be honest, may as well of been single player only.

Classic-Rando
Stadia Player
Stadia Player

@ChaosTheory

NNo I've asked every single of the 56 people I personally brought to stadia to check their friends lists to see what retention rate the "Pro" subscriptions have kept, as well as the many people on discord I've spoken to, and of course my own friends lists,

Most of the people I've asked have said that their friends lists (generally from 20 to 50+ people, now have about a 20% (average) subscription retention rate, or to put it simply, of the people I've spoken too, there has been a very noticeable drop off of pro subscriptions by about 80%, or even more simply, 4 in 5 people have dropped their subscriptions (data I was able to collect thanks to the Stadia badges.

That seems pretty conclusive to me

Classic-Rando
Stadia Player
Stadia Player

@ChaosTheory

RReddit subs don't tend to unsub when they leave, nor do people unsub youtube channels, specially if they're looking for improvements in something they were once invested in.

Pro subscriptions speak far more than reddit or YouTube numbers.

Also, what do you think Stadia care about, people watching YouTube videos, or the mass exodus from pro subscriptions?

ChaosTheory
Founder
Founder

Hate to tell you but that's still not anything more than anecdotal. Your friends group and the people you talk to online are not a representation of all stadia users. you can pretend it is, I don't care. Just here to let you know you're wrong. Not to mention, just because someone is not currently on pro doesn't mean they are dissatisfied with stadia and no longer using it. just means pro is not for them. That's the great thing about stadia, you don't have to pay for pro to still get what you want out of it. So not only is your evidence still anecdotal, it actually doesn't tell you what you are inferring.

Classic-Rando
Stadia Player
Stadia Player

@ChaosTheory

YYou can pretend that (at least within everyone I know and speak too) an 80 percent drop off in Stadia subscriptions isn't very bad for Stadia, and the result of the overall dissatisfaction most users have with Stadia all you want, it just makes you look either naive at best, or disingenuous, intellectually dishonest, or just a flat out contrarian just to try and one up me at worst.

You believe whatever gets you through the day champ.

In the meantime, I'll be living in the real world.

ChaosTheory

Perhaps I am contrarion. but not to one up you. mostly because I have seen most things you post here and they are nearly all absolutely negative. If you're dissatisfied, fine. but your criticism is not constructive in the least. you're only here to spread your own misery. case in point, prior to last week you complained that stadia doesn't have the games you want to play. they announced they are bringing a game you specifically requested. but it still wasn't good enough for you. so i repeat what i said in my first comment today, "nothing they do will ever truly make you happy"

Classic-Rando

@ChaosTheory

TThe announced a game I asked for months ago "sometime" next year, not even a spring or summer release date, nothing, it could end up being December.

Ark has kept me on the hook for longer than any other game I've ever played at 6000 hours, but there comes a point where I no longer want to play it.

Add that to the ridiculous wait times for co-op games, and the probably number of players "sometime" next year on a Stadia based Ark, and it starts to become worthless.

If they ported over ark 6 months ago, it would be a different story, I've already explained this twice, you seem unwilling to listen, even though my reasoning is very sound.

Maybe I'll be proven wrong, and the servers will be highly populated, and the game will run great with no lag, in which case I'll happily eat my own words, but as we won't know any of this till "sometime" next year, it's really a moot point at the moment.

As for my criticism, if all people post is "amazing" to everything, how will stadia know what people are unhappy about, and if you didn't notice, an aweful lot of people agree with me, for almost 6 months straight I've been in the top 5 "kudos" users on this forum.

I can buy it right now for my PS4 for £30, I will still buy it on Stadia for the right price, because it's a game I would actually play, and I've gone through the entire Stadia catalogue already (some games playing twice because I already owned them on PC etc).

This is a prime example of why I criticise Stadia, if other platforms did this kind of thing, people would lose their **bleep**, and rightly so, communication is important, and Stadia fails every time with it!

I used to, the 20 something friends I did amass that weren't my actual friends very quickly became 3 active players, and now if I do hop on Stadia to finish some RDR2 OCD challenges, or AC Odyssey for the sake of 100% completion, I occasionally see 1 of them on, the only time recently that changed was the Immortals demo, which had all 3 on for maybe an hour.

Though feel free too add me if you like.

Google Stadia platform has improved a lot in recent months, but some features must be implemented as soon as possible, Family Sharing and support for Google Chromecast TV (for example).

Also describe more in details all the Gamescin the "Stadia catalog"... with photos and reviews and data sheets. Now a search function might start to make sense or not? come on! :winking_face:
