Awesome, thank you!!  Really happy to see Saints Row Remastered coming - was a huge fan of this specific title in the series in particular, and it'll really scratch the GTA itch on Stadia for a long while.

Is the spoken audio fixed in the original Watch Dogs? I bought it earlier and refunded due to a well known audio bug. It looks like the servers are missing all spoken audio.

Edit: it looks like it's fixed just recently.

@truferblue22

I'm not miserable, I'm just not a mindless idiot, that hands out over the top praise for what I (and all countless people that have tried Stadia and left) consider a failure, nor do I pass out empty platitudes or meaningless comments, like the ever present "Lets Goooooooo!"

Stadia has been mismanaged since day 1, there are simply too many issues to address in one post without it becoming an essay, for example, take the above poster asking for a "search" functionality, something that I could have programmed and implemented myself in the time people have been asking for it.

I stay a paid member at stadia for the ever decreasing hope that the management will be fired, and a new team put in charge that listens to its player base, instead of ignoring the requests, complaints, criticism etc, as the current management do, and seem bent on steering stadia directly into failure and obscurity.

For me this was never about money (saving on PC upgrades etc, new consoles every 6-10 years, if it worked that would just of been a bonus), for me it was about the possibility of a total paradigm shift in not just gaming, but home computing.

Stadia toyed with keyboard and mouse designs, and hinted quite heavily at the possibility of selling not just games, but software, and eventually replacing the need for a PC, with a simple app, useable on a smart TV.

Instead of seeing a move towards the paradigm shift that would litteraly change the way the home computer is perceived, we're still waiting on games that should have been procured and ported over on release.

In short, Stadia was a beautiful vision, badly implemented, badly managed, underfunded, and the result is that at the time of writing (approx 12+ hours after this post), a total of 69 people "kudos" this post, the official forums "weekly news segment", managed to get less positive interest and feedback than CNN give to Donald Trump.

Go play RDR2 online right now, and try multiolayer, see how long you wait, if you are patient enough, that's RDR2, one of the biggest best games in the last decade, and there's zero stadia multiolayer presence, other platforms are instaqueue.

This is getting too long, as I said it would if I started to actually address individual issues.

Praise incompetence if you wish, in the meantime, I'll stick with calling out failures when I see them, politely at first, as constructive criticism, but when nothing improves, the politeness will drop, as it has now.

Whito

@Classic-Rando

I don't even know why you bother to answer them.

Forget about Stadia and don't expect it to improve anytime soon, Stadia needs YEARS.

Just leave the platform to them and look for something consolidated like Xbox, PS5 or PC and come back in a few years if Stadia is something for everyone and not for special users.

I understand that you have invested in the platform and have tried to move to the future, but that future is still far away.

I have spent more than 1000€ and the longer it takes to leave, the more money I will lose, more games and more mental health.

Clearly they don't want us here, I just inert the time I spent looking for Stadia things to be constantly entering the main PS5 outlets and I won't stop until I get it.

Classic-Rando
Stadia Player
Stadia Player

@Whito

That's basically the stage I'm at, I'm back split between keyboard type games, and heavily nodded games like skyrim and ark on the PC, and exclusives on the PS5.

Though I still generally check in with stadia every month, and every month I sigh a little bit more inside, at the lack of progress Stadia continues to make. I do still hold hope for a major internal reshuffle, after the announcement that Google scrapped Stadias in house games development at the start of last month, thing is though, something like that won't actually have any real world effect for a long time. It was kind of a mixed announcement too, I don't know if I should take

“You can continue playing all your games on Stadia and Stadia Pro, and we'll continue to bring new titles from third parties to the platform,”

As a good thing or bad, if they relocate all the money to in house games acquisition, great, but if they just scrap the in house games division, and continues to gain games if and when the original developers get round to doing it, then we will continue to see painfully slow release of games, and never see the keyboard/mouse designs that were leaked earlier on.

It's like I've been saying since day 1, New platforms are made or broke by word of mouth, and the general impression of Stadia when you step foot outside of this tiny cheering squad, the guy on the street that has never even used the platform will tell you that it's garbage, they've even given away CCUs and controllers for free to practically anyone who wants one, and still nobody uses the platform. If Stadia want to fix this, it's going to take a huge effort and a lot of money spent in a massive marketing campaign that's honest, and tells the world that changes have been made, big BIG changes.

Rambling again, later.

Whito
Stadia Player
Stadia Player

@Classic-Rando

The change in management is not going to happen.

2021 is a year in which they hope not to spend money.

Without great F2P or great MMORPG no one will come to the platform.

No new Hardware.

At this point the best way to express criticism is to say nothing.

The best thing is that each disappointed customer only shows indifference, forget and leave.

Classic-Rando

@Whito

Sadly I find myself starting to agree more each month, and I do fear that you're right, both about the money, and the management.

so many keyboard warriors think they can manage a billion dollar company better than the folks that already have the job. why don't you go apply for the job? put up or shup?

Whito

Well with a billion dollars I don't even have to pay 100 employees it is a suicide to jump into the world of video games with that budget.

With 180 billion maybe I would think about it ... maybe ...

Classic-Rando
Stadia Player
Stadia Player

@ChaosTheory

You probably won't believe me, but I don't care.

I've run my own company, I'm 42 and retired, I'm obviously not a billionaire, but I don't ever need to worry about money again, so forgive me for thinking that I have some insight into the business world, and gaming world (I've owned ever western home computer from the Atari 2600, Spectrum ZX81, to an RTX 3090 gpu PC, PS5, and new Xbox, I've even imported some Japanese (and other non western) consoles.

I may indeed put up, but Google wouldn't employ me, I didn't vote for Biden, and I speak out against corruption wherever I see it,also, I worked almost every hour God sent from age 16 to be able to have retired now, I want to enjoy life, sleep in till midday if I want, or covid permitting, fly to Mauritius on a whim, I can't do those things if I go back to work.

I don't understand why criticism of the stadia platform offends you so much, if it is as solid and great as you claim, then my criticism should mean nothing to you, you seem to be in some form of irrational denial, like agamer version of Stockholm syndrome.

But hey, what do I know, I'm just a keyboard warrior who refuses to apply to be chief executive in charge of Stadia?

ChaosTheory

@ChaosTheory

Well you did kind of post that directly after I was telling a billion dollar company how to run their business, it's a reasonable inference to make my dude.

Edit

You do seem to be very bitter, angry, and dare I say miserable my friend, which is kind of ironic considering you frequently call me miserable for the criticism I give to stadia, and recently commented something along the line that I was angry that Stadia "ruined my life". :face_with_tears_of_joy:

I'm sorry, I'll leave you alone now, this kind of feels like I'm kicking a kitten.

ChaosTheory

You got me. I was talking directly to you. but also proved my point. you were in your own words "telling a billion dollar company how to run their business." either put up or shut up. no one here cares about your rants any more. every time you comment more and more people reply how you are so miserable.

Edit: "Another "This Week in Why Do I Bother?"" This is not criticism. This is just complaining.

Classic-Rando

@ChaosTheory

Because I care about the opinion of what is quickly becoming an echo chamber for stadia fanboys.

Also, my comments, when I'm actually being serious, generally get very high "kudos", when I was more invested in the platform, I was consistently in the top 3-7 "kudos" users for 6 months straight, that would kind of imply that people tend to agree with me.

The most interesting thing I've noticed, is that usually the first person to take to social media to defend Googles latest atrocities, are usually the kind of people who say things like "no billionaires", "capitalism is racism" and have a hammer and sickle on their profile.

The mental gymnastics involved, are Herculean.
