Friendly reminder that Ubisoft enables physical, emotional, and sexual abusers at every level of their company and don't deserve your money even when their games are on sale.

So many games :smiling_face_with_heart_eyes:

I hope this trend continues!

That Baldur’s Gate 3 livestream starts when this blogpost is an hour old by the way!

, Again this feels like more placeholder material to try and keep people happy, rather than actual progress to a fully fleshed out catalog of games to keep even me happy and a working messaging/improved chat function.

I want to cheer for you Stadia, but you have to do better!

@Classic-Rando what game(s) do you wish were in the catalog that aren't?

Then ask yourself if you think it's worth it for the devs to bring that game to Stadia.  That has costs and resources involved. We can't expect all older games to be brought over to stadia.   But we can expect new ones and unreleased ones in the future to come.   If we start missing a lot of those, then we may have trouble.

I don't know, maybe games like Ark, WoW and Vanilla, for gods sake, just open up a page on the steam store and point to a game that sells well.

As for if it's worth it, you always need to invest heavily at the start of almost every business going, especially trying to create a new gaming platform that(and let's be honest here) is either going to make it or fail on word of mouth.

What the first players (almost beta testers) say to their friends is going to affect sales for years to come, far more than advertising.

And yes, they are advertising new games, but so what, so is everyone else, and they aren't acting as if releasing new games is a benevolent act for their players, everyone is so emotional now it's ridiculous, take yourself out of the equation, take a step back and look at the situation, if stadia want to get the attention of the PC master race and all you console pesants, they need to up their game, fix their **bleep** and get games like the platform depends on it, because newsflash, it does!

@Classic-Rando I mean they literally do a weekly update, so what do you expect? Even PlayStation would have trouble trying to make a weekly post.

I'd rather get these every week and not miss anything. There's a lot of stuff coming in the next few months (quite a few of which are AAA games); in case you haven't noticed there's a global pandemic that slowed development of a lot of games down.

Definitely picking up Doom and maybe PGA 2K21 depending on gameplay from 2K20. I need to check a trailer on Spiritfarer since this the first I'm hearing of it.

Wow, a weekly update to tell me that nothing really happened, and in the meantime here is the bare minimum of games that most people won't play and will just end up free on pro.

The only interesting thing about this update is about BG3, and that's old news.

Don't get me wrong here people, I like Stadia, I freaking love the concept to the point that I'd actually invest in the company if I could, but Google needs to hear the hard truth from people who regularly buy games, you know, gamers, not people who will just blindly cheer and say "Wow such games, so choice!" when the opposite is true.

I mean it when I say I like Stadia, these Discord posts are the only thing that I have that will notify me 24/7, everything and everyone else gets put on do not disturb at night, but not Stadia, I want to see this platform successful and the standard in gaming a few years from now, but that isn't going to happen without changing a few things.

1, Give people the option to use a headset mic with a separate sound system and use the assistant button as push to talk

2, Get Bluetooth headsets working.

3, The controller has a mic, let us use it in games (see point 1)

4, Get a messaging system up yesterday.

5, Improve the chat function, or just incorporate Discord.

6, Add wireless keyboard and mouse support to chromecast

7, Add more games, just add all the games, if you want a business in 5 years time, add games today as if you're life depends on it.

I could think of other ty things, but let's start with that, these are all reasonable things that will be dealbreakers for millions of potential customers, I'm the last one of everyone I know on Stadia, if you want to know why they all left, see points 1-7 above.

Stadia needs to hire some of the folks in these comments sections. their knowledge and vision for how to run a company is clearly far superior than anything a multi billion dollar company has to put forward... smh

Yes, what do the users of the platform know, and why listen to them, if you hadn't noticed, a fair few people agree with me.

And on a side note, I'm a 42 and retired, I do understand a little bit about "business", I may not be a faceless suit working for the billionaires, but I'm not a drooling idiot hating on Stadia because it's a Google product, and everything im saying has been said to me by other people, if I included the "friends of my friends", I'm the last of about 50+ people (all who actually spend money on games, probably on average a game a week) to have stuck it out with Stadia, and a couple of games that aren't really worth mentioning aside, nothing has happened in the last 3 or 4 months.

But hey, why would a billion dollar company listen to its target audience (wealthy people with free time who regularly spend money on games that they might only play for 20 minutes before they move onto the next game until they hit that sweet spot, and put 200 hours into it over the next couple of weeks.

Oh yes, /sarcasm

@Classic-Rando You're coming off as very toxic. There's plenty of great games on Stadia. There's plenty of features they have, and plenty that they're working on. There's a feedback link that will let you suggest new features. The games are on the developers, Google can't just say "Hmmmm we pick GTAV, we'll release that yesterday". And all the spacing in your post is so obnoxious, trying to take up the entire page. As far as I'm concerned, you're spam.

@Classic-Rando Take your own advice. You've been whining over and over on this post alone. You want, want, and want; everything needs to be your way. Why can't you just sit back, acknowledge that your incessant whining won't progress the platform, and enjoy your games?

Rock of Ages III is definetely fun!! Tried this already :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

The other games sound good so let's see when they are in the Store. :slightly_smiling_face:

Was unfortunately unable to see the Livestream of BG3 but will definetely have a look later when I have time. Can't wait for this game to come!

@werewookiee

Ok, I won't give usefull feedback, I'll just sit back while Stadia user numbers drop, and not mention why.

Also, if you didn't notice, most people are agreeing with my first post, hence why I thought it worthy of expanding on.

I'm Stadia and Googles target audience, wealthy gamers who buy on inpulse and have spare capital and time.

If I include the feedback from the friends of my friends, then the post above where I go point by point what needs improvement is the feedback, and reasons why over 50 people in the similar demographic to me all left Stadia, I'd think that's something they would like to know.

Also, how many times do I need to say I like Stadia, but it's being run badly, just like DC and Marvel comics, just like Star Wars (with the exception of The Mandalorian) and Star Trek.

These are all million or billion dollar companies that have been run into the ground by not listening to their fans/customers, I don't want Stadia to be added to that list.

And if you think that because it's Google backed that it'll just succeed, remember that YouTube runs at a loss, and has done since at least 2015, I'm pretty sure they want a Stadia to turn a profit, if I'm wrong then let me know and I'll stop telling them why people are leaving their platform!

Picked up Doom 2016, took them long enough. I will buy this game on every platform I play games on, it's worth it!

Rock of Ages 3 should have never been released in its current, buggy, state.

@Classic-Rando I literally just told you to give feedback, just in the feedback feature that Stadia has. And don't call your feedback useful. You told them to implement messaging, while teardowns already show they're working hard on messaging and it's close to release. I guess you mean they should put out a rushed product. You told them to add games. They do, every week. This post showed a bunch that came out or are coming soon. There's constantly new games. They're working with developers as best as possible. It's evident you don't know what goes into making a gaming platform, and much less putting in features that work across many platforms. Also curious how you suggest connecting a mouse and keyboard to a chromecast when it doesn't have bluetooth? That's just showing you're putting out ridiculous ideas and calling them "useful".

Interesting that you use Youtube running at a loss as to why they might close a service. Don't remember Youtube shutting down. Very curious why you think there's some mass exodus from Stadia too. Got any statistics to prove your claims?

Classic-Rando
Stadia Player
Stadia Player

@werewookiee

II'm 42, retired and not an idiot, I understand that adding games basically comes down to money and time, hhow much time is directly proportional to how much money is put in.

You could connect a keyboard and mouse through a controller.

I never said YouTube was closing down, I said it runs at a loss, and speculated that Google aren't creating Stadia to also run at a loss.

And as for the people leaving Stadia, over 20 people I know personally didn't even make it to the end of the free 2 month trial, they all have friends who have done the same, in the circle of people who I regularly interact with online and in real life, every single one of them has left, almost everyone I talk to who I just meet casually in different games either have zero interest in Stadia, or have tried it and gone back to their PC.

And again, for the hard of hearing, I like Stadia, I'd like to see it successful, but it won't be if all they hear is "wow 5 new games (not that I care about any of them) and a BG3 link (wow), also in the next few MONTHS, they will be bringing out new AAA games (so will everyone else, why are Stadia not offering pre orders for AC Valhalla etc)."

They're doing the bare minimum so that it appears that they are doing anything, and if you think that just because they are being run by a billion dollar company, that they are being run well, why the hell didn't anyone sit down and say gamers talk to each other, maybe we should have a message function ready for release.

I'm done with you, just go cheer a car crash and don't tell them to change direction.

werewookiee

Can you stop repeating that you like Stadia? No one said you didn't. And a USB-C dongle to connect a mouse and keyboard through a Stadia controller would be clunky and create lag, I'm not sure many people would put up with that. Sitting at your couch with a mouse and keyboard is not a popular way to play. But maybe you want them to divert funds from deals with developers into designing and manufacturing this dongle? Any maybe they can take some people off developing the messaging service to help program support for this dongle. If your friends don't like Stadia, they're not going to like Stadia. If they left, they left.

Retired would definitely explain your belligerence .

Saw somebody post about a few dirtbags and not to spend your money on Ubisoft.

I'm sure there are way more decent people who worked on these games than the few dirtbags mentioned in the news.  Buy it for them instead.

@Thompson exactly, the developers were even, reportedly, the "good" ones who kept pushing for female storylines. They're the one's who worked on these games, they're the ones who deserve the money from these games, they're the ones we need to support. Also, although I'm sure not all, so many of the rotten apples at Ubisoft have been laid off. Now more than ever, they need the monetary and fan support.

Guys, you are doing so well. Please hear me though,y have to do the small things right. PGA 2K21 is available right now everywhere as it released 12:00 AM EST. The game is everywhere accept on Stadia. Gamers CARE ABOUT MIDNIGHT RELEASES. You cannot be the only platform where the game is not available. What is the point of no downloads, no waiting, if we have to wait swaths of time after a release to have access? You have to do the small things right.
