@Lethaldemise you're missing the point. I did blame THQ Nordic, but it's still on Google's platform. I think it benefits Google and THQ Nordic for them to understand why a person like me is disappointed, I am not being irrational here. $40 is significantly higher than $30. I love Stadia so far, but the pricing of this game is a deal breaker. Imagine if Doom Eternal is released 25% more expensive on Stadia ($75) than it is in Steam ($60)? That's exactly the same price difference.

@JuffoWup, I'm referring to the time of when they release their games. As in midnight for each timezones, or close to.

Is there a guide available for co-op play? For local co-op, can I connect 2 stadia controllers to the single session?

For online multiplayer, can I invite a friend who doesn't have a copy of the game?

@dak Stadia game prices are in line with PS4 and XB1, PC games have always been cheaper. If a new game is £50 on PS4/XB1 it'll be £50 on Stadia, the Steam price is irrelevant.

@shaunbutter nope, disagree. AAA games are $60 across all platforms, $20 Indie-games are $20 across all platforms. The only time Steam games are cheaper is when there is a sale. Doesn't matter, "console" prices or not, this is not a $40 game, it's a $30 game. I'll have to wait for it to go on sale if I ever decide to buy it. If it was $30 on release, I would have 100% bought it on day-one, but they missed out on the opportunity. I have $30 in my pocket going somewhere else, I guess.

@dak Then buy it on steam, it’ll be the same £35 price on PS4 and Xbox as it is on stadia.

This price disparity conversation is still going on?!

Guys, seriously... It's £35/$40

Yes it's cheaper on Steam, so if you feel principled enough then I implore you to buy it there.

But if you can afford Stadia, a good internet connection & games on top of that... Surely the price difference isn't a huge issue?

If THQ randomly announced it was launching at £65 or something, then yeah... Boycott. That's a hill I'd be willing to die on. But it's £35 :purple_heart::joystick::video_game:

@StadiaTeam : What are the max resolutions and frame rates that this game supports on CCU?  The Stadia app doesn't provide any indication as to what experience we can expect... Thanks.

@GraceFromGoogle : Interested to know what maximum native resolution and fps this game will run on Stadia at.  Native 4K/60fps without Stadia 2xencode, or is it just running at 4K/30fps and then 2xencoded to 60fps for "artistic" reasons I think was the term, or worse 1080p and then upscaled...yadda yadda yadda.

We also know that not all games are actually being streamed at 4K either, as Destiny 2, for example, renders at a native 1080p and is then upscaled to improve quality, but never reaches 4K, Red Dead Redemption 2 renders at 1080p or 1440p, depending on what data rate you are using, and is then upscaled to 4K on a Chromecast Ultra.

So, while there is a lot of talk that CCU can output at 4K, what is being sent to it is....well it's nowhere near what we would expect.

It would be extremely beneficial to actually know what the native resolutions and fps that these games are going to display at on a 4K TV with suitable internet speeds and cat 6e wired connections etc.

Because currently, if I'm totally honest, no-one has a clue, certainly not Google support, they can only refer me to the Phil Harrison tweet of October which got shot down in flames IIRC.

"We designed Stadia to enable 4K/60 (with appropriate TV and bandwidth)," Harrison said. "We want all games to play 4K/60 but sometimes for artistic reasons a game is 4K/30 so Stadia always streams at 4K/60 via 2x encode."

The Stadia app doesn't have any information of use either, nor the Stadia shop web page, in fact nowhere to find this information as far as I can tell.

So, have some Christmas cheer and put a smile on our faces and let the cat out of the bag and let us know the native resolutions and fps of the games running on Stadia.

Ho Ho Ho!
