What happens when i decide to upgrade to Deluxe Edition or better later?

Hi guys,

I just questioned myself (and i haven´t found an matching question + answer already) what happens when i want to try a game but not wanting to pay already for a better edition of that specific game. Will the price be deducted when i upgrade my edition?

For Example: "The Crew 2" is on sale for 15€ / "The Crew 2 - Deluxe Edition" for 18€ / "The Crew 2 - Gold Edition" for 27€

I just want to test the game and buy the "normal" Version for 15€ and later, because I like the game, I decide to go for the upgrade. Do I then have to pay only 3€ for the "Deluxe" Upgrade? And after that only 9€ for the "Gold Edition" Upgrade?

How does this work for Stadia?

Thanks

There is typically an upgrade cost, and it will almost certainly be higher than the price difference you are looking at.  The pricing is typically done in such a way as to entice the user to buy the higher level package and get a larger discount (mostly).  If you select the lower end bundle then the overall discount is typically less and therefore will actually cost you more money to upgrade to the higher level.

What would make more sense for you is to purchase the top level and then try the game for under 2 hours within 14 days of purchase.  If you enjoy the game then great you've got the best deal price.  If you don't then you can request a refund so long as you have played the game for less than 2 hours and the purchase is under 14 days old.

Kudos appreciated if deserved.
