Refunds went where?

Jump to Best Response

My Stadia transaction log says all of my $900 in purchases have been refunded, but my bank account only shows that I have received about $150... So where did the rest of the refunds go to?

I am not showing any google play credit either...

I was REALLY counting on that money and already spent it to buy replacement game system, so I hope this gets sorted out soon

Hey @octaviusaster,

You can double check on pay.google.com which payment method you have used originally to make the purchases. That way you can check if they went all to the same or to different ones.

Even if you used for example a card that is expired by now, Google will still try to refund the money to that card/bank, so they may receive the refund somehow. If the refund would be rejected, you would receive an email from Google with more instructions.

It could also be that Google needs more time to process the refunds to your bank. Another thing you can check on pay.google.com is also how much you spend for everything, because maybe the difference in the amounts is explainable by purchases made with discounts/sales, so for example for some games you only paid like 5 quid, but it normally costs 50 quid, so maybe there is some confusion if you think then you should be refunded 50.

In any way, I'd say to wait a bit longer and see if the rest of the money turns up. If not, get in touch with the bank first to confirm that only a specific amount has been refunded and see if they got the rest somehow and if not, you can also get in touch with the Google support team (should be really last option though, because the refunds can take up to 18th January).

Hope this helps.
