Refund going to inactive debit card

Jump to Best Response

I have a Stadia purchase going to an inactive debit card. How do I change this?

@BlockChainGG You will get an email that your refund can't be processed. Open that email, and you'll get instruction on how to specify a new payment method to get the refund.

You can also check with your banks, guys, just in case that even though your cards were inactive, the bank itself may still have gotten the refund. So by contacting them you can check this out.

But yes as Ivan said, if the refund would be rejected, just keep your eyes peeled on an email from Google asking you to provide an alternate payment method.

So if the refund doesn’t go to my active card and/or account, they’ll send me an email and tell me to update my payment information so the refund can be processed? Because I bought games from an account that is now closed.
