Hey!
So I got a email almost a month ago saying I was getting a refund for my game & hardware purchases, however it says the refund was declined. I don’t have the original form of payment anymore, I closed it awhile ago and the bank says the refund bounced. I was supposed to automatically receive a email about how to update my payment method to receive it but I haven’t, I also don’t have any notifications on pay.google either.
I have 2 cases open with stadia support and I keep getting transferred to different agents that take 3 days to reply & continuously transfer me. What can be done here?
Update!! 2 days ago I got a email to update my payment method, I updated it. Today I have both my refunds for my hardware & games. I guess it just comes down to patience & waiting for the payment method update email.
also! Once I updated my payment method, it stated it could take up to 2 months to receive my refund, but it was 2 days.

I think the best in your case would be to simply wait a bit longer, since you have exhausted everything from your end.
It's possible that the email or the Pay notification simply takes longer for these particular transactions plus Google stated all refunds should be done by Jan 18, 2023, so there's technically still time for your refund to be processed.
If it comes to January it probably makes sense to push back again to the Google Stadia team, but until then I'd recommend to wait a bit.
Welcome to the club of inept help from support that absolutely gives no help whatsoever. I've been dealing with this specific issue for over a month and Google only help is to call my bank. What a absolute joke this refund process is. I wish you luck.

same boat, they keep tossing me around and have no clue what's going on.
I'm in exactly the same boat. Initiated the refund, debit card had expired in the interim, got a notification email to update payment method, did that, then found the "refund declined" status. Spent like an hour with support being reassured "it would be fine." Just gotta wait, I guess...
I have yet to have my funds be denied. It's been over 6 weeks and all support so tell me to wait. I have received nothing gotten no emails then my money were refunded to a card that no longer exists. It's been a great time with no help from support.
