Hi,
Why will Stadia only allow you to pay with play store credit on games that are not on sale or pre-orders?
I only have the option to use credit to drop the balance, and use another payment method to pay the rest on full priced, non-sale, non pre-order games.
Surely this is an oversight by Google, and would make it easier for all of us to purchase games?
Thanks
Hi @Lankiebd
I never tried with balance but this is my guess. When you preorder a game, the system put the money in on hold and when the game is released drop the authorization and make the purchase with that amount. I believe that Google Play credit has not the chance at this moment.
However, it is a good feedback. he quickest way to let Stadia team know about your request is to submit a feedback
You should submit from Stadia app or Browser (icon profile > feedback)!

Just to add on to what @AndroiFy said.
You may use Google play credit to buy a game on sale but your credit MUST cover the full cost of the game including any additional fees from tax/vat, if applicable
As has already been mentioned, you must have enough balance in Google Play if you want to buy a product on sale and others.
If you only have part of your Google Play balance, one option is to buy physical or virtual gift cards (for example on Amazon) until you reach the amount needed to buy the game.
I understand that you are supposed to have the whole amount to cover the purchase cost, but some games allow partial credit payments using google play store credit.
Why wont it allow this for ALL purchases? Thats my query
Thanks
