I decided to try stadia when they offered the controller for free, so I signed up.
Since it never arrived, I forgot about it.
Now I have at least 11 monthly charges to my account.
A refund would be nice, but I suspect I'll be blamed for not catching it sooner.
What should I do. I don't even know how to cancel. I registered this name today to post to the forum.
I have no idea if it works as a stadia login. I have never created the the actual stadia login.
Hi @johnhouk
Which offer did you try to receive the free controller? Did you check your inbox / spam folder for any email from Google/Stadia?
You can check here for refund: https://support.google.com/stadia/answer/9598538?hl=en-GB#zippy=%2Ceuropean-economic-area-and-the-uk
After revisiting my email, I do have some more details.
On November 30th (one day after the deadline?) I located the email in my spam folder. Here's a snippet:
Please carefully follow these instructions to receive your Stadia Premiere Edition |
Thanks for accepting the Terms and Conditions of the Stadia Premiere Edition offer. Here are the next steps: 1. By November 29, 2020 11:59pm GMT: Head to stadia.com/pro to sign up for Stadia Pro using this Google Account— UsernameAtgmail.com ...
I guess I tried to follow through because I have a follow-up email that's an order conformation and includes an order number. Looks like that is where I left off. I probably paid up and waited for the control to arrive. ..I'm going to check out the link you sent now. I am still open to any suggestions you may have. |
I'm into my account on the webpage now.
In the instructions for requesting a refund it lists
5. Tap Request refund. ....There is no such button.
I've also noticed that within my google account subscriptions Stadia is not listed. ...Only Youtube Premium, and Shutter.
It is becoming obvious that this is a lost cause. I've helped google screw me over.
If I am unable to refund this before months end, I'll choose to recoup my losses by canceling my other subscriptions, and reevaluate the situation in one year.
Unfortunate. I've been loyal to google for about twenty years.
Looks like you are checking in the wrong account. Did you check with other Google Account?
