To play this game I already have a Google account and a Stadia Pro account, and paid $10 for the game. On first launch, you are then required to create a Ubisoft account. Why is this so? This is a horrible user experience. I refunded the game about 3 minutes after purchasing.
Hi @tyng3n
Stadia is "just" a platform. The publishers, in this case Ubisoft, are responsable for the game and if they required other account such as you expierenced. In some cases this opens other possibilities like cross-plattform-gaming, cloud save games, etc, pp..
It's the same expierence as you buy games on Steam. ![]()
Would have been nice to know before having to go through the refund process.
Hey @tyng3n,
I know what you mean, I was annoyed as well when I had to create a Ubisoft account for playing Assassins Creed on Stadia, but well.... I did it, because I wanted to play the game and I didn't regret it so far. ![]()
@spr0k3tYou know it before... When purchasing the Game on Stadia, look at the details. You can see there the developer information and the Privacy Policy where you are informed that a Ubisoft Account will be created, but you also see it there in the Disclosure details. So basically you know it before you buy (if you would read all information..).
