I understand now that to use a google play credit to purchase a stadia game I would need to be using an android device. Would I be able to use that if I downloaded stadia on a amazon fire tablet. Not to play stadia but just to do a purchase.
Hi all -- I wanted to confirm that the only official way to complete a purchase with Google Play Store credit currently is to perform the purchase from an Android device. I can't speak to alternative workarounds, unfortunately. You can find more information here.
Hi @Sinoser
just to get all information. Why do you have to use an Android device to buy a game using your store credit?
The option to use store credit is not available through stadia store on pc/mac or ios devices. The only available option is to use a credit card.Everything i have seen online says the only way to use a google play credit is to do the purchase on an android device. While fire tablets are android based they don't always act like one.
I can't answer regarding a fire tablet, since I don't have one. But, I have run into this issue as well, and I ended up installing BlueStacks (an Android emulator) on my iMac. I used it just the morning to purchase Ghost Recon Breakpoint using my $10 credit plus some funds on a Google Play gift card I received. If you can't get the app to work on a Fire tablet, you might look into using BlueStacks instead.
will check into that thanks

That link is dead.
I've been trying to find a way with using BlueStacks but I can't seem to make my Google Play Balance a payment method for stadia purchase. I can't even make my subscription use Google Play Balance even though they say it will work for subscriptions. Why is it so difficult to make this work? What are my options I can only emulate android as I have a windows PC, and an iOS device. I do have a fire tablet though--haven't tried that. Please help, I have a $100 that's burning a hole in my pocket.
