I am an adult Family account member. The Family account manager has a payment method set up. We successfully already share YT Premium and Music services. In the Family account the Family > Share your games is set to 'Automatically share everything'.
I have been unsuccessful in creating a Stadia account that will link to this family account. Initially, when I logged into Stadia.com I was prompted to start a trial account, but could see no way forward. I have now created a trial account, with the intention of cancelling this, in the hope that moving this onward would then give me access to the Family account. This has not worked either.
While I am logged into Stadia.com and look at my Stadia settings > Family, I can even see my details in the Family account dashboard.
Has anyone got Family sharing to work? At what point did those joining family members get to join the Family group?
What am I to do now?
Hm I can't really figure out what you have done wrong there or why it's not working for you.
I have set up a family already months ago when sharing Google One with my BF. When Stadia family sharing came out, I just had to activate it in the Stadia settings, add a family-payment method and my BF could see and play all my games in the library. He had his Google Account linked with Stadia months ago already with my Founders Buddy Pass.
I think best would be for you to check again the instructions in this article and walk them through together to make sure no step has been missed. In order to play the games that are being shared, you definitely need a Stadia account though.
