@jakob I just found this little note at the bottom of the country availability support page:
I am getting “The item you were attempting to purchase could not be found.” error when I try to make a purchase in the Stadia app on Android? This can happen when there is a mismatch in your Google Play country and Stadia country.
To resolve this, please create a new payment profile in Google Payments for the country you use for Google Play. You can do this by adding a valid form of payment. Stadia customer support will then be able to assist you in changing your Stadia country.
Alternatively, you can request a change to your Google Play country to align your Google Play country with your Stadia country.
Yes, even reinstalled the Stadia app...
@jakob I just tried purchasing Football Manager it was letting me. So it's definitely available. Which payment method did you set btw? I wonder if the issue is there. Any chance you're using payment from different country from where you're activating Stadia from?
Also another thought, do you have another phone you can use to install Stadia app (and purchase from)? This way we can try to isolate the issue and make sure the phone's not the culprit.
Also, please mention the person when you're replying, otherwise there's a chance the person might not get notified when you reply.
@Ivan Thank you for your advice!
Yes I think it might be the country that is the issue. I come from Belgium, but I live in the Netherlands. I saw that my Stadia account is set to Belgium (even though I bought in the Netherlands Google store & delivered in Netherlands). In the Play Store, my "Country" is set to Netherlands. Maybe that is the problem?
If so, how can I change my Stadia country to Netherlands? Thank you very much for your help!!
@jakob I did some digging but I didn't see any option to change country from the Stadia app. Maybe the feature is not enabled yet. Where do you see that your Stadia app is set to Netherlands? Usually if it's shown, there's an option to configure somewhere. Maybe you can post a screenshot? I can't find where it says USA on my end.
@Ivan good point, I also can't find it in the app anymore (or on the website), however I am quite sure I saw it during the onboarding process of the app. Very annoying!
@jakob I guess they'll be enabling features slowly. At this point, might be worth it to contact support to see if they can help you out:
Go to the link below:
https://support.google.com/stadia#topic=9634925
On top right, click on 'Contact Us' > then request chat/callback to speak to a representative. Try it from a computer browser if the option is not shown on mobile
@Ivan Awesome, thank you so much. I have contacted them & will follow up once I know more!
Have a good day!

Hi @Charlescurt,
Thanks for coming to our community. I just marked @codesplice's response as a best answer. I'd recommend attempting that if you haven't done so already. This is, however, an old topic, so I'll be locking it for now. With that said, if you are still having issue, please feel free to create a new post.
Thank you,
James
@jakob Which game were you trying to purchase? Let me see if I can replicate it on my end. I was trying to buy Tomb Raider 2013 earlier and it worked just fine.
I have the same issue. What is the fix?
