I was going to upgrade to Stadia Pro but can't since my billing Adress ist currently set to Germany.
This is because I was starting to setup Stadia a while ago with a VPN to Germany, since my counrty Switzerland wasn't supported back than and now I can't start over with the setup process at "https://stadia.google.com/setup". It will instantly go to the last step 7 where I can start the trial month.
So is there a way to restart the whole proces at "https://stadia.google.com/setup"?
Btw I already check my Adress at https://pay.google.com/ and there the adress is set correctly so the billing adress is only wrong in stadia itself.
Please help me out, I can't start the Stadia Pro trial month, since I can't change my billing adress.
So I contacted the Support and they were able to change my billing Adress. So the issue is now solved, thanks for your effort @Chufu.
Is your payment profile in pay.google.com set to Switzerland or to Germany? First of all I would check that you have a Switzerland-payment profile there.
Instead of doing it with the website, you can also try to setup your account in the Stadia app, maybe that works better there.
Apart from this, if you still want to do it with the website it might make sense to clear cache & cookies of your browser. If you don't use the Chrome browser, try to install that one and try if that works better as Stadia is optimized for that browser.
You could also check if your Google Play is set to Switzerland, usually it shouldn't have something to do with it, but just to be sure it might be worth a check.
I have no further idea about this, so if you are still struggling, it might be worth to check out with your VPN provider if they did anything to your IP or anything that might interfere with Stadia or get in contact with the Stadia support to see if there is anything else you can do here.
Yes at pay.google.com the adress ist set to Switzerland.
If I setup my Account in the App it instantly starts with the screen Stadia Pro Trial and says Germany.
So the clearing the cache and cookies of my chrome browser will not help since the Setup progress looks to be bound to my Account, since in the App the progress is also alreay saved.
In Google Play the country is also set to Switzerland.
The VPN I only used when first setting up Stadia a few months ago, I'm not using any VPN anymore. So I guess I will contact the Support, but kinda weird that a google service has only Facebook and Twitter as contactoption, I hope they will still reply.
I mean, if you have disabled the VPN, and VPN's don't usually change anything in the Google account, I just have the idea you could also check the following:
Regarding the support, they might be very busy and that's why they only have FB and Twitter as contact option at the moment, but usually they do also offer chat.
So I removed the VPN in Account for permissions of apps and also reinstalled the app and clread the cache and cookies in my chrome browser. I even used a diffrent device and visited the setup page again.
But the same issue still occurred, in the billing it is automaticly choosing Germany and it isn't changeable.
So I guess my Account in Stadia has to get reseted and I probably can't do that by myself right?
I have no idea at all, what else we can try here, thanks though for your effort to walk through all those steps, was hoping the problem is easier, but it seems like it's a better idea now to contact Stadia support as they might be more able to help in this regard. I also don't know how much they can do at their backend though, but there is still the chance they have heard of this issue and know what to do or if it turns out to be a bug, they can check out with their specialists to help you further.
Maybe someone else here in the community has also another idea in this case.
