this will not work for you, because:
- Your friend has 3 months from the day you receive the Buddy Pass code to redeem it. Source: see here
This means: let's say you have two friends that have the founder's edition, they both have received the Buddy Pass probably at the same time, so both Buddy Passes last only 3 months until they are invalid (3 months from the day they received the Buddy Pass). As each Buddy Pass lasts 3 months, you could only use one and after that the other one is already invalid.
I guess it could work for you, if you would receive another Buddy Pass after your 3 months, maybe if Google does another event like the last one.
