Returning a controller, Stadia says my PRO subscription will be cancelled??

I purchased Stadia PRO via a buddy pass, so ordered a standalone controller to go with it.

But I have decided I want the chromecast ultra etc, so want to return the standalone controller so I can order the Stadia Premier edition pack. (works out cheaper buying the premier pack than buying controller and chromecast separately)

But on the returns window it says that returning my controller will cancel my PRO subscription!!!

Is that right??

Its just a standalone controller.

@Spoonablehippo : Contact support again about this, because that does not sound right at all.

All you have done is purchase a controller, which is optional anyway (for a Buddy Pass user).  So I can't see why they would cancel your Pro subscription.  Best to double-check with them again on this, because it makes no sense to me why they would consider that that would be the correct approach to take.

Although, even if they did cancel the subscription, it would only cancel after the current subscription has expired (unless they are going to refund that as well?).  So it doesn't sound like it would be an issue to resubscribe again when it is time to.  But, still contact support and discuss it with them, because the course of action shouldn't IMHO include cancelling a subscription.

Kudos appreciated if deserved.
