@SDAfan Welcome!

First of all, you don't need Chromecast to use Stadia. All you need to do is sign up through https://stadia.google.com/ and once you're signed up, you can play on PC using Chrome web browser, or on your mobile device through the Stadia app (look up the app from Google Play Store or iOS store)

If you want to play on TV, then yes you'd need Chromecast Ultra, Chromecast for Google TV, or any supported smart TV. You can check the full list in the link below:

Google hasn't announced anything, but the Premium bundle that includes Chromecast Ultra and a Stadia controller seems to be sold out everywhere. They may be phasing the bundle out. If you're in US, you can check the following link for the Stadia controller + Chromecast for Google TV bundle. If you're not in US, you need to check your local Google store to see if the same package is available

https://store.google.com/product/gaming_entertainment_package?hl=en-US

Hope this helps and don't hesitate to ask again if you have more questions!

Stadia Guides are not employed by Google. Opinions are my own.
