Dear community,
I am from Germany and was eying Stadia for a while. Recently I found an article stating that if you register and buy a game worth 59,99 € until October 11th ( https://www.googlewatchblog.de/2021/10/aktion-stadia-google-starterpakete/) you get a free starter pack with it.
Since it was already the 11th I didn't hesitate and baught Dirt 5 which was 69,99 at the time, so despite the 10€ Euro welcome bonus it was still just at the threshold and I pulled the trigger without much thinking.
It said that the code to order the starter pack should arrive until October 21st. Now I didn't receive any notification from stadia so far and was wondering if I was falling for a hoax or if there is a delay or if I was simply too late for the Promo?
Are there any news on this?
Please excuse me if this is a duplicate topic and has been answered before, my search didn't reveal any related post.
Thank you very much.
With kind regards
Thor Selbst
Hey @MrVacca , Thank you for your fast reply. I did check my spam folder, but to no avail.
I now dug a little deeper, and well, shame is on me.
The offer was valid until 11:59pm PT on Oct-10th, which made it 8:59am on Oct-11th in my timezone.
I bought the game at 09:57:03am on Oct-11th, so just about one hour too late.
Sucks to be me, I guess. ![]()
Hey @ThorSelbst
Have you checked your spam folder? I've heard of a few people get their redemption codes for the Stadia promo go into there.

Maybe try contacting Google support, maybe they'll be nice to you.
Hope you're having a good time nonetheless?
I reached out to the social media team on twitter. They said they understand my desire to take part in the promo, but are unable to help, as the promo has ended in all participating countries.
I had troubles playing games on my wireless devices, experiencing input lag, stutters, sound glitches, the whole nine yards. Especially that I am unable to use my Android Sony TV is frustrating, I was hoping for the Chromecast to help here. And the fact that the DualSense Controller (the PS5 one) does not map correctly to the intake buttons is mind-bending. But oh well, different companies, different desires to make money I guess.
For the time being I am playing on my MacBook on Chrome, which is plugged in via Ethernet-cable. This works pretty well.
Dirt 5 itself, well, I was maybe hoping for something else, now after increasing the difficulty level at least the races are somewhat challenging, albeit it feels repetitive quite fast. And seeing all these "Store" - links for the better cars and different game modes makes me wonder what I paid 60 Bucks for. But that only shows that I haven't been buying many AAA-Games lately, as it is quite common I guess.
Now after trying Mafia 3 (thanks to the 1 month free Pro-Subscription), I am hooked and wished I bought this game instead. It gives a great Mafia vibe like the old games and looks really good. Can't wait to progress in the game (until my Pro-Subscription runs out that is).
Hi @ThorSelbst
I'm from Germany, too and am looking for some fellow compatriots to play some Multiplayer games
So feel free to add me on Stadia. I have Dirt 5, too. Oh and maybe you already noticed, but right now you'll get the Stadia Premiere Edition for just 22,22€ as part of the Google Store Black Friday sales ![]()
