As you have probably noticed, there are a handful of Stadia Guides popping into threads to provide helpful insight. You might be wondering, "how do I get that fancy badge?"

I'm here to tell you, as a matter of fact! Becoming a Stadia Guide is a simple process which boils down to "be helpful, be present, and be positive," but I'll dive into the specifics below!


  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Stadia platform through helpful and complete answers to questions
  • A positive attitude toward other users and Stadia in general (though constructive criticism is okay!)
  • Willingness to join occasional calls with Google staff

A small note: while Kudos are taken into consideration when examining potential Guides, it is more of a "nice to have" than a "requirement." Kudos come organically to those who provide quality content!


  • Do I need to reach a certain activity level to qualify?

No, but a good rule of thumb is to answer unanswered questions or supplement existing answers when you see them.

  • What are the benefits to being a Stadia Guide?

Stadia Guides have a more direct line of communication to deliver feedback and raise issues with the Stadia Team. Plus, you get a fancy badge to distinguish yourself as a source of knowledge.

  • How do I apply?

There is no formal application process. The Stadia Community Team carefully monitors activity on the forums and will reach out to you if we notice you'd be a good fit.
