I got an Nvidia Shield that has Chromecast Ultra built-in. Now that all the CCU are compatible with Stadia it would be nice if the compatibility gets extended to CCU built-in.

Please Google, don't play an Apple movie forcing us to buy new hardware when we don't really need it

I don't have a Chromecast Ultra. I have Nvidia Shield 2017 which has Chromecast Ultra built-in. Google enabled Stadia to work with any Chromecast Ultra now (not only with the ones bought with Stadia), but not with "Chromecast Ultra built-in". So what's holding me back is that I don't want to buy another CCU when I already got one inside my Shield TV. I know Google is on their right to not enable Stadia on Chromecast Ultra built-in, but it's just a bit too evil to force us to buy an standalone CCU when we already have one really... So I hope that for once they become a cool company again

My Nvidia Shield TV has Chromecast (Ultra) built-in with firmware version 1.42.179832 which is newer than the standalone Chromecast Ultra (1.42.172094).

It seems to me that Google just don't want to enable it on Chromecast built-in devices with Ultra capability. They probably want us to buy another CCU, which is something I wouldn't do.

Yes it could be that, which is a shame as it stops a lot of people from tyring Stadia. Which is somehting that it's higlhy needed to counter attack a lot of criticisms and scepticism from people who didn't even try it.

Tito and or Felix - have either of you tried to reach out via social media, like Twitter? Tagging Google Stadia, Nvidia, etc. I'd be peeved if my built-in ultra was left out. I'm curious too for an actual answer, not conjuncture.
