Headset and or Headphones

I have been using an old pair of iphone earbuds with the mic for my in game parties. I am wondering what other gaming headsets people find the best. I have purchased two different headsets on the cheap and I got what I paid for. I was strongly considering some high end Sony - WH-1000XM4. But I am not sure how well those work for gaming.

I have the Google wireless headphones, but I don't believe they are supported as of now.

Assuming you mean connected to the Stadia controller? Any standard USB-C headset will work fine with Stadia now that it supports them. I use a Jabra Evolve2 40 UC the most with Stadia because I don't really need wireless when it's connected to the controller. You don't really need to buy something marketed for "gaming". I don't use this headset with my PC (I have a much more elaborate headset setup for that), but for Stadia the Jabra has worked great.

Warning, this is not really an inexpensive headset - I only mention it because this is what I use and have had success with, and it serves double duty sometimes for work.

A bluetooth-only headset will NOT be something you can use with the Stadia controller (currently, anyway).
