Hi! Pushing Lpad forward and applying pressure (like when you want to “run fast” in destiny) creates squeaking. I’m about to return a controller due to this but my other controller has also started to do this. Have anyone else had the same experienced with controller? Is this acceptable? It’s annoyingly loud.

I've uploaded a youtube video on the squeaking. I apologize for my poor video shooting skills. Not sure if I can embed te video in this message, or how to do so so I'll just post the link below. @Mad_Dog_Bravo please have a look.

https://youtu.be/v26kpZNsiW8

I guess that if I'm having this issue with two controllers, others must too.

I'm no "200 pound gorilla" (to Quote AvE), so I haven't broken them by applying excessive pressure. The controller works but its a loud an irritating noise.

I'm not used to console gaming so please enlighten me if this is supposed to be this way.

Thanks for answering and confirming that your controller doesn't do this. I've returned my first controller today, will be contacting google for a replacement unit for the second one also. The first faulty one was black but the second faulty one was white so that doesn't seem to matter. I live in Sweden and the controllers are sent from the Netherlands i think, so maybe they got a faulty batch in store down there. There were no problem with the return procedure, I just rang google support and got email with return instructions. They sent me another controller first so that I could use the faulty one until I got the replacement. Remains to bee seen what happens when the controller reaches "googles shop" and are examined. But I expect they will accept the reclamation. However returns is much work, both for me and for the google people. I had to spend about 1 hour in the phone and I guess another hour and half repackage, picking up replacement unit and dropping of the faulty unit.
